The poverty in my hometown in the mountainous areas of Fujian worries me. The living standards of local farmers are very low, and the underdeveloped financial market limits farmers' ability to escape poverty. On the one hand, I joined the National Natural Science Foundation of China's project "Research on the Loan Behavior of Rural Credit Cooperatives after the New Round of Reforms." On the other hand, I participated in an internship at the Agricultural Bank of China. During the process of issuing "Benefiting Farmers Cards", I gained more in-depth thinking about poverty alleviation policies. If poverty alleviation policies sacrifice economic interests, sustainable development will be impossible. My dream has become fuller, which is to apply my economics expertise to poverty alleviation work.
