My Chinese Dream

President Xi Jinping calls on us to strive for the realization of the ‘Chinese Dream’. My own journey has made me realize that realizing the "Chinese Dream" is also my life goal. I wholeheartedly support the call of the Party Central Committee.
I was born in Taiwan. My parents taught me from an early age to have self-respect and self-improvement and to have national integrity.1945815On the day Japan surrendered unconditionally, my father took my brother, put on Chinese coats, and walked down the streets of Tokyo with their heads held high. The Japanese and the police were shocked and looked at with admiration. However, at that timeThe Japanese still look down on the China represented by Chiang Kai-shek, do not regard China as a victorious country, and call the Chinese "second-class citizens", which makes the majority of our overseas Chinese in Japan very angry. After the founding of New China, they began to change their attitude towards the Chinese. In particular, the great victory of the Chinese People's Volunteers in resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea made the Japanese completely change their attitude, and the Chinese were finally able to raise their heads and walk! I still remember that the parents of two of my classmates even told me that they hoped their children could go to China and serve the construction of New China.1948Years later, the China News Agency run by my father and others asked me to deliver Ta Kung Pao, Wen Wei Po, etc. that were mailed to my home from Hong Kong to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies and the headquarters of various political parties every three days. How happy and proud I am when I see those Japanese people nodding and bowing to express their gratitude and extending their thumbs to praise China! So when I returned to China, I was extremely excited and eager to participate in the revolutionary cause of my motherland.19517197_72771960Since 2005, he has been teaching at the w88 casino. After the opening up, I was one of the first batch of senior visiting scholars to be sent to Australia to study Western linguistics. During this period, I received the attention of the Australian Ministry of Education and the university, and they visited us at the end of each semester to inquire about our welfare. Many Australian friends and overseas Chinese in Austria rushed to invite us and asked us to introduce the development and changes in China, which showed their great concern for China. At the New Year International Gala organized by the University of Sydney for foreign students and scholars, visiting scholars from Taiwan repeatedly asked to sing on stage with us“Lovely motherland”. All of this is the result of the unity and hard work of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party. I am deeply proud of being a citizen of the People's Republic of China.
As our party has pointed out, in order for China to become a prosperous, democratic, civilized and harmonious modern socialist country, it must also achieve comprehensive development in the five aspects of politics, economy, society, culture and environment. We still have a long way to go, and we need to further deepen reform and opening up, and education and talent training are the keys to determining our country's current and future development. I feel very lucky to be able to engage in education in my life. Nearly forty years before retiring, I participated in training thousands of college students and graduate students.1999After retiring in 2010, he still did not stop teaching. He taught successively at w88 casino, University of Science and Technology Beijing, and Peking University College of Arts and Sciences, and also taught at the College of Arts and Sciences of Peking University30With many years of experience in teaching linguistics, he has written and published English textbooks for two linguistics courses, and was re-employed as a teaching supervisor in the w88 casino for ten years. In terms of social activities, he served as a member of the w88 casino party committee and a representative of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress. After the separation, he continued to serve as a bridge between overseas Chinese and the unit in the w88 casino, striving to fulfill his responsibilities and send the party's care to patriotic returned overseas Chinese and their family members.
Currently, I am still teaching "Linguistics" and "Pragmatics" to graduate students at the Beijing Institute of International Relations. As a teacher, my current "Chinese Dream" is to hope that my students can look at the country, the world, and the future, and realize the widespread application value and practical significance of the language theory they have learned. They love the lessons they learn, fully mobilize their enthusiasm and initiative for learning, and achieve ideal teaching and learning results. I love my job, enjoy a life of learning, doing something, and having fun. I feel happy that I can exert the remaining heat for national rejuvenation. No matter what I do, as long as I live for one day, I will definitely continue to realize the Chinese dream that the revolutionary pioneers have struggled for for more than a hundred years, and I am willing to work diligently and wholeheartedly for the prosperity of the country, the rejuvenation of the nation, and the happiness of the people.
