Dear representatives and comrades:
The 7th Faculty Congress and the 14th w88 Union Congress of the w88 casino have successfully completed all agendas of the conference and are about to conclude. On behalf of the w88 casino party committee, I would like to express my congratulations on the successful convening of the conference!

1. Put serving the all-round development of faculty and staff at the top of the labor union’s work

Without everyone’s struggle and dedication, the w88 casino would not have achieved historic breakthroughs and leap-forward development. Recently we are preparing for the w88 casino anniversary60Anniversary work, looking back at the history of the w88 casino, we see that: the status and influence of a university are not entirely determined by its campus and size, but more importantly, by the comprehensive quality and level of the faculty and staff who are responsible for teaching, scientific research, management, and service from generation to generation. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Southwest Associated University cultivated a generation of master-level talents under difficult conditions in dilapidated w88 casino buildings. It can be seen that only first-class quality faculty and staff can run a first-class university. Therefore, to improve the quality of higher education, we must first improve the overall quality of faculty and staff. In the past five years, the w88 casino union has done a lot of work in serving the development of faculty and staff and achieved satisfactory results. It has been praised by the municipal education union many times. For example: organizing the "Basic Skills Competition for Young Teachers", holding the "Pairing of New and Old Teachers", launching the "Teacher Salon" to communicate teaching and scientific research information, calling for the improvement of housing conditions in young teachers' apartments, organizing the "Model Workers and Students Holding Hands" activities and selection priority activities, commending advanced models, promoting teachers' ethics and ethics, promoting the construction and upgrading of the college's second-level teaching congress, caring for teachers' physical and mental health, cultural, sports, entertainment and living welfare, etc., which have been well received by everyone. However, it should be noted that due to economic and scientific and technological development, people's lifestyles and ways of thinking have changed, and the needs of faculty and staff have also changed. Compared with the needs of faculty and staff, our work needs to be improved.
First, focus on personal development needs. Colleges and universities are places where senior intellectuals gather. Most of them are high-level, high-IQ, talented and thoughtful people. They are at an important stage of cultivating innovative talents, scientific research, and creating new knowledge. A comfortable environment and relaxed atmosphere are conducive to the emergence of inspiration and the bursting of wisdom. Zhang Qingshan of the Municipal Education Union pointed out that living with dignity and working with dignity should be a priority. To be decent and dignified as an individual, we must pay attention to individual needs. Our work must not only focus on collectives and groups, but also on individuals. We must strengthen investigation and research on the cases reported by faculty and staff many times, analyze the obstacles in the system and mechanisms, provide accurate information to administrative functional departments, actively promote the adjustment of policies and regulations, and summarize some regular things from personalized services and case resolution. The next step is to broaden the scope of work. We must not only come up with proposals, but also conduct research, strengthen proposal management, consultation, feedback and report on the implementation of proposals.
Third, broaden service areas and increase work intensity。

Marx has a famous saying: "Everything that people fight for is their interest." Under the current situation of deepening reform of higher education, institutional and mechanism reforms, changes in the interest pattern, diversified interest groups, and diverse interest value orientations may all lead to adjustments and changes in the interests of faculty and staff. The coordination and balance of interests between departments, teaching and research offices, and people have become an important part of the work of party committees and w88 unions. It is the basic responsibility of the w88 casino union to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of faculty and staff. The ability to accurately represent the interests of faculty and staff, communicate in a timely manner, appeal for and promote the resolution of issues involving the vital interests of faculty and staff is an important factor in winning the trust of faculty and staff, rallying people's hearts, jointly promoting development, and maintaining the stability of the campus and faculty and staff. Therefore, we must respect the personal interests of faculty and staff and conscientiously safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of faculty and staff.
Currently, we are in an era of reform, change, and adjustment, and we are facing some new problems in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of faculty and staff. How to properly coordinate and balance the teaching staff Various interests such as current interests and long-term interests, personal interests and w88 casino interests, team interests and common interests, etc., have put forward new requirements for the work of the w88 union. w88 unions must carefully study and explore ways and methods to effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of faculty and staff.

Third, establish and improve the labor and personnel dispute mediation system. Chairman Zhang Qingshan of the Beijing Municipal Education Union said in his speech at the Ninth Congress of the Municipal Teachers Union: “Adjustment, adaptation, reform and innovation are the main tasks of the w88 union’s own construction in the coming period.” Adjustment is also the main task of w88 casino union at present and in the future.
