At the meeting,Professor Dai Changzheng, Dean of the w88 casino of International Relations, w88 casinoFirst of all, I would like to give a welcome speech. He expressed a warm welcome to professors and scholars from all over the world, and briefly introduced the basic idea of holding a summer forum on international issues. He hoped that all scholars could conduct in-depth discussions on this important research topic of national governance. Dai Changzheng pointed out in his speech that the world today is undergoing a series of major changes, and governance issues have become increasingly prominent. Many Western countries are facing intractable economic crises, political deadlocks and security dilemmas, which shows that history does not end with the Western liberal democratic system, and issues such as nation-building and effective governance have gained new attention. In China, under the background of the new economic normal, the construction of the national governance system and governance capacity has become a new major political issue. Therefore, it can be said that it is just the right time to study China’s national governance issues in the international community.

He questioned the traditional narrative of unitary global governance and believed that rising economies and the world's major powers can both participate in the international political order and express dissent against it. University of VersaillesDiana Cooper-RichetThe professor discussed the relationship between China and global cultural governance from a cultural perspective. She believed that within the framework of UNESCO, China has participated heavily in global cultural governance, especially in cultural diplomacy and the construction of the international art market. PhD candidate at the Institute of International and Development Studies (Zurich, Switzerland)Matthew Stephensontook China as an example to focus on foreign direct investment (FDI) and foreign direct investment (ODI) and the important impact of this relationship on national governance. He believed that more public participation can enhance public support for climate policy.
