Cultivating innovative talents requires increasing cultural diversity education

Today, global governance is at a new historical point of change. In the past, the rules and standards of world w88 were formulated by a few or even one of the developed countries, but now the international order and rules can no longer be decided by individual countries. Therefore, it is very meaningful for university presidents from BRICS countries to discuss innovation, change and responsibility.
In the process of global governance changes, it is very important to promote cultural diversity in the state of economic globalization. This is not about challenging the West and developed countries, but about making the world fairer, allowing both developed and developing countries to have common and fair opportunities, and building a community with a shared future for mankind. Among them, an important responsibility of the university is to promote cultural diversity.
First of all, cooperation between BRICS universities and other countries around the world must be based on the open vision of economic globalization, and talk about tolerance, cooperation, and common prosperity in the context of cultural diversity.
Secondly, innovation requires a diverse culture.OECD(Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) believes that the essence of knowledge economy is the national innovation system. The new innovation system constitutes the basic way of existence of the knowledge economy. This innovation system is first of all different actors, including people with different languages, different cultures, different religions, and different lifestyles. Then there are vertical differences, including universities, laboratories, scientific research institutions, etc. Various elements such as university talent training, scientific research and project implementation, product development, market demand, etc. interact and collide with each other. It is precisely because of the interaction and exchanges between university research institutes, enterprises, markets and consumers that a new innovation system has been formed. Therefore, the BRICS University Alliance should include elements such as scientific research institutions, enterprises, markets, and finance. Only in this way can we find a fair method in the global governance process that is acceptable to all countries.
Secondly, university education in the BRICS countries should focus on promoting cultural diversity in the cultivation of innovative talents. China has a population of more than 1.3 billion and a history of more than 5,000 years. What unites China? It's culture. We have a culture, philosophy and language that have been passed down for thousands of years. It is this kind of national cohesion that has enabled China to overcome many difficulties and achieve rapid economic development. At the same time, Chinese culture has also extensively absorbed the essence of Western culture, producing multiculturalism and new values that are acceptable to all human beings, namely fairness, equality, tolerance, and win-win cooperation.
