Standards going out,Talent must come first

With the gradual deepening of the implementation of China’s “Belt and Road” strategy and China’s standards “going out” strategy, it is imperative for China to participate heavily in international standardization work and realize the internationalization of Chinese standards.

One of the basic projects of international standardization and standard internationalization is talent cultivation. Standard international talents should be proficient in foreign languages, have an international perspective, be familiar with the operating mechanisms and structures of international standardization organizations, be able to participate in international affairs and international competition, and also have professional standardization knowledge and cross-cultural communication skills. There is a huge gap in my country's demand for standard international talents.

The Japan Industrial Standards Committee has introduced standardization training programs to elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools and vocational schools to let students understand the role of standardization in daily life. At present, the training of standardized talents in my country is limited to a few universities such as the China Institute of Metrology. Standardized knowledge is not taught in professional and technical courses in general universities, and standardized knowledge has not been included in my country's national education knowledge system.

Standard international talent training is a systematic project. It requires clear positioning of talent training concepts, strengthening market-oriented talent training models, and improving policies and regulations for talent training.w88 casinoThe "English + Major" model is proposed, which not only teaches foreign language courses such as translation, interpretation, localization, and cross-cultural communication, but also involves economic and management courses such as economics, finance, management, and national conditions. It also focuses on standardization courses such as working principles of standardization, work guidelines of international standardization organizations, international standard preparation, standardization, and international w88. The country should build standardization as an independent discipline and realize a complete training system covering undergraduate, master's, doctoral and postdoctoral students as soon as possible.
