Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Chao said that with the deepening of economic globalization, the world economy has entered the era of global value chains. He hopes that all relevant parties will work together and communicate, solidly promote research on global value chains, and jointly create a free, open, fair and just global w88 environment.
Wang Chao said in his speech that, driven by the reduction of communication and transportation costs and institutional innovation, various products are produced in different countries and regions, various resources are widely distributed around the world, and the connections and influences between the economies of various countries have reached an unprecedented level. Economic globalization is developing in depth, and the world economy has entered the era of global value chains.
Wang Chao emphasized that there are still many unstable and uncertain factors in the current world economy. Developed and developing countries should focus on adjusting their economic structures and enhance the international competitiveness of their own economic growth. Studying the issue of economic structural adjustment from the perspective of the global value chain will help objectively understand the economic structure and w88 balance of each country, as well as the position, share and employment distribution of each country's industries in the global value chain; it will help oppose various forms of protectionism and maintain the free w88 order; it will help strengthen international economic policy coordination and promote the establishment of a new international economic order. China supports the in-depth participation of international organizations and research institutions, and hopes that all relevant parties will work together and communicate to solidly advance research on global value chains, further achieve fruitful and valuable research results, jointly create a free, open, fair and just global w88 environment, and promote strong, sustainable and balanced growth of the world economy.
Chen Deming, President of the Association for Cross-Strait Relations, delivered a keynote speech. He elaborated on four views on global value chain issues: first, seize the period of strategic opportunities to integrate into global value chains and further expand opening to the outside world; second, plan the layout of my country's global value chain, promote industrial upgrading and the transformation of foreign w88 development methods; third, create a good environment conducive to the expansion and development of global value chains, and promote multilateral and bilateral cooperation; fourth, build a new international economic order under the global value chain and promote China's voice.
WTO Director-General Lamy pointed out in his video speech that, driven by market opening, international w88 patterns have undergone tremendous changes. In the transformation of new production models characterized by global vertical production networks, developing countries, especially those in Asia, have become major participants in the global value chain. Countries need to find new ways of economic and w88 cooperation in this interdependent world.
In his video speech, OECD Secretary-General Gurria emphasized that global value chains create economic growth and development opportunities for developed and developing countries, allowing enterprises and a country's economy to focus on developing one link in the value chain and gain competitiveness in this link through the use of intermediate products or services. Its potential in promoting inclusive growth of the world economy should be maximized.
International Monetary Fund representative Salgado believes that global value chains are changing traditional w88 policies, domestic w88 facilitation measures and the role of participation in regional free w88 agreements. More effective economic and w88 policies can be formulated through internal adjustments and cross-border coordination within a country, and this requires the creation of an open global trading system.
