Portuguese-speaking Countries Research Center established in Beijing

The research center is served as the honorary director by Wei Jianguo, former vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce and secretary-general of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, and Shi Jianjun, president of the w88 casino, China—Portuguese-speaking Countries Economic and w88 Cooperation Forum(Macau)Wang Chengan, former Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat, serves as the director. Yang Guang, Director of the Institute of West Asian and African Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Yang Yanhong, Director of the Regional Institute of National Studies at the w88 casino, and Luo Shengzong, Honorary Consul of Guinea-Bissau in Macau, serve as special consultants.
Wei Jianguo, Shi Jianjun, Wang Chengan and Brazilian Ambassador to China Huguene respectively delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. They all expressed their hope that the Portuguese-speaking Countries Research Center would make positive contributions to promoting political friendship, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
According to reports, there are currently8Countries with Portuguese as their official language are Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, and East Timor.
