Master style--two Nobel Prize winners in economics come to w88 casino

The 2005 Nobel Laureate Beijing Forum was held in Beijing from May 30 to June 1, 2005. By organizing a series of academic lectures and symposiums centered on Nobel laureates, the forum provides a high-level platform for exchange of ideas and pragmatic dialogue between Nobel laureates in economics and Chinese government officials, economists and business people. It introduces preface theories in the field of world economics to the Chinese economic and academic circles, provides theoretical and strategic decision-making support for my country's development of a socialist market economy and the construction of a harmonious society, and shapes the image of Beijing as a modern international city and a famous cultural city.

At the same time, the forum organizing committee specially arranged for the Nobel laureates to give academic reports and conduct academic exchanges at several universities in Beijing, and receive the title of honorary professor from the Chinese university.

The w88 casino is honored to invite two of the Nobel laureates to visit w88 casino on the afternoon of June 1st and give lectures to our teachers and students. They are Vernon Smith, the 2002 Nobel Prize winner in economics and a professor at George Mason University in the United States, and Clive Granger, the 2003 Nobel Prize winner in economics and a professor at the University of California in the United States. The title of Professor Vernon Smith’s speech was: Knowledge, and the title of Professor Cliff Granger’s speech was Economic Forecasting.

Introduction:

★Cliff Granger

In 1955, Clive Granger graduated from the University of Nottingham and became one of the first graduates to obtain a double major in economics and mathematics. Obtained a doctorate in statistics in 1959. He went to the United States in 1974 and served as a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California, San Diego. There he made outstanding contributions to establishing the econometrics program and making it one of the best universities in the world. He is one of the most influential scholars in practical sequence research econometrics, for which he won the 2003 Nobel Prize in Economics. Using his research, economists can more easily interpret economic models and make more accurate forecasts. In 2005, Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom knighted him.

Research areas mainly include statistics, econometrics, forecasting, finance, demography and methodology. He is a member of the International Association of Forecasters and has received honorary doctorates from the Stockholm w88 casino of Economics and Carlos III University.

★Fron Smith

Fron Smith is the winner of the 2002 Nobel Prize in Economics. He is a professor of economics and law, a research scholar at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Economics, and a fellow at the Mekates Center. Professor Smith holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard University. He has authored and co-authored more than 250 papers and books on capital theory, finance, natural resource economics and experimental economics. In 2000, he published his second collection of recent papers titled "Bargaining and Market Behavior". He is currently and has served on the editorial board of the American Economic Review, Economic Behavior and Organization, Risk and Uncertainty, Science, Economic Theory, Economic Design, Games and Economic Behavior, and Economic Methodology. Professor Smith has served as president of the Institute for Public Choice, the Association for Economic Science, the Western Economic Association, and the Association for Private Enterprise Education. He has been a Fords Foundation Fellow and a Fellow of the Center for Frontier Research in the Behavioral Sciences. He is a member of the Econometric Society, American Section
A fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Science, an academician of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a famous academician of the American Economic Association. In 1997 he established the International Research Foundation for Experimental Economics.
