In the early autumn of 2016, Ye Wenrui graduated with a PhD from the University of Alberta in Canada. As a young teacher, with full enthusiasm for education and a lofty sense of mission, he stepped onto the podium of the w88 casino. Ye Wenrui has done almost all the domestic fraction problem sets, and often uses weekends to teach students exercises. He often discusses problems with students after class at 9 p.m. Many times, he does not leave the office until the teaching building is cleared.
"What do 8 mathematics shirts look like"
Ye Wenrui actively encourages students to participate in various competitions, writes competition coaching materials for students, and provides free competition coaching during winter and summer vacations.
In the summer of 2018, when he was intensely preparing for the six-hour high-intensity competition course every day, he rushed to buy 8 mathematics shirts and planned to change clothes every time he taught a topic. Students are all curious: What do the 8 cultural shirts look like? Everyone wanted to collect 8 photos and send them to WeChat Moments, so they insisted on finishing the entire course.
In recent years, Ye Wenrui has guided hundreds of students to win first prize in the National College Student Mathematics Competition. In his class, the number of winners exceeds 1/3 of the class, and he has won the Beijing College Student Mathematics Competition Outstanding Instructor Award for six consecutive years.
The American College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition is held every year during the winter vacation. Student registration needs to be completed on the instructor's page, and most students do not have credit cards that can be used to pay foreign currencies. Therefore, Ye Wenrui advanced the registration fees for students many times and used the winter vacation time to guide students. In the past six years, he has guided students to win the grand prize in the American Mathematical Modeling Competition, and many other students have been nominated for grand prizes.
"What can you do without a good computer"
Ye Wenrui’s scientific research assistant is a 2016 financial engineering student. Once, when Ye Wenrui was discussing a problem with a student, he heard the fan of the student's computer humming like a tractor. After learning about it, he learned that the student's financial situation was relatively difficult, and the laptop he used was a second-hand computer purchased from a classmate.
Financial engineering students often have to process data. How can they do it without a good computer? So Ye Wenrui bought a new computer and installed basic office software and programming software for students to use. During his four years at university, the student won four national first prizes in various subject competitions, received a national scholarship, and was successfully admitted to Peking University.
“Millions of words” “showing the essence of several points”
“Those who know well are not as good as those who are good at it, and those who are good at it are not as good as those who enjoy it.” In order to shorten the distance with students and enhance students’ interest in learning, Ye Wenrui participated in various student activities many times and performed in the college freshman style competition. For example, he once put on the "Infinity Gauntlet" and waved the "Elder Wand" in class to activate the classroom atmosphere.
In the spring semester of 2020, the w88 casino adopted online teaching due to the epidemic. In order to mobilize students' enthusiasm for learning remotely, Ye Wenrui decided to adapt and record a "mathematical analysis" version of the song "Blue and White Porcelain". He racked his brains and wrote lyrics such as "Find the theorem of relational implicit functions from equations, remove measurable variables from small measures, how to find the extreme value of a function under restricted conditions, and apply Lagrange's theorem", and then sang, recorded, edited and posted it online. The song had over 10,000 hits within a few days of its release, causing a sensation throughout the w88 casino. Students posted hundreds of comments, some typed out theorems involved in the lyrics, some praised the lyrics as "millions of lyrics" and "shows the essence of mathematics", and some recalled the scene when they first learned "Mathematical Analysis" with emotion and tears. In 2020, Ye Wenrui gloriously joined the Communist Party of China. His grandfather, Professor Ye Qinghe, was also a teacher at the University of International w88 and a member of the Communist Party of China. "My grandpa planted the seeds of responsibility and love in my heart with his profound knowledge and noble ethics. Grandpa's dedication is like a beacon that illuminates my path forward," Ye Wenrui said.
