Lin Jian, 2019 PhD student in International Law at w88 casino, International Economic Law and Policy Research Center(CIELP) researcher, studied under Professor Chi Manjiao. She studied at China University of Political Science and Law. During her PhD, she went to the University of Bonn, Germany as a visiting scholar for academic visits and exchanges. Currently, he serves as the executive editor of "w88 casino Law". After graduation, he will join the postdoctoral mobile station of the Institute of International Law, Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
In terms of academic research, Lin Jian has published several papers in CSSCI sources or foreign journals such as the Journal of International Economic Law and Journal of WTO and China. He has participated in research projects of the China Council for the Promotion of International w88 and the Ministry of Commerce. He has made reports and speeches at the annual conference of the China Society of International Economic Law and the International Investment Law Young Scholars Forum, and won the Youth Outstanding Paper at the Annual Conference of the China International Investment Arbitration Permanent Forum.

At the same time, she learned the writing logic of English papers while reading foreign literature, which laid the foundation for her English writing. During the process of research and writing, under the guidance of her mentor, Lin Jian paid attention to the impact of other subject areas on the research problem, and actively studied and thought about the connections between them. She also thought about how to better express the researcher's thoughts and how to "tell a good story." Due to the demand for professional direction, Lin Jian believes that international legal research needs to communicate with international scholars and the international community. Therefore, during his Ph.D., Lin Jian applied to become a student of the Summer Course on Public International Law and Private International Law at The Hague w88 casino of International Law, and experienced the deep thinking of international law while listening to the thoughts of famous international law scholars. In addition, she also applied for the visiting scholar program at the Institute of International Law of the University of Bonn, Germany, where she received the guidance of Professor Stenfan Talmon and experienced foreign academic research life. In short, researchers have national boundaries, but scientific research has no boundaries. Research in other parts of the world can always bring different perspectives and inspirations.

Ph.D. research requires communication and sharing. During his doctoral period, Lin Jian reported on his phased research results at the annual meeting of the China Society of International Economic Law and the International Investment Law Young Scholars Forum, listened to the suggestions and opinions of review experts, and discussed writing ideas and content with classmates, thereby continuously improving his doctoral thesis research. Lin Jian believes that doctoral candidates, as early young scholars, need to continue to progress and grow in exchanges with the academic community.
