On May 19th, the University Student Activity Center was bustling with activity. Several traditional Chinese cultural societies such as the Chess and Cards Association, the Go Association, the Martial Arts Association, the Chinese Band, the Calligraphy and Painting Association, and the Woye Literary Society put on wonderful displays. Many students came to visit, and what’s more worth mentioning is that this event attracted the attention of international students.
The Tai Chi sword performance presented by a junior sister from the Wushu Academy won bursts of applause. The nunchuck performance performed by the president of the Wushu Association was one of the most popular performances. His handsome performance captured everyone's attention.
The students on both sides of the field looked at them frowning in deep thought during the fierce Go game, thinking about the next strategy. This is enough to show the profoundness of Chinese cultural heritage. After studying abroad, I think this is a very wonderful thing.
The performance of the Chinese orchestra made the atmosphere lively again. Everyone had a strong interest in Chinese musical instruments. They came to play with them a few times and asked with interest whether the international students would like to participate in long-term training. Different instruments have their own characteristics, showing Chinese music culture from all aspects. The students of the folk orchestra have put in a lot of effort in their daily lives and have continued to grow and develop in a short period of time. Cheers for their wonderful performance today!
The guessing game of Woye Literary Society is also very interesting. Most of the riddles are of a certain degree of difficulty. Everyone discusses and thinks about them for small prizes. The students who guessed the answer are very happy. They also smile when they hold the prizes.
This event allowed everyone to fully appreciate the colorfulness of Chinese culture. It was a good opportunity to showcase and also added a beautiful scenery to the community cultural festival!
