[Editor's Note] In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Education Conference and other conferences, and comprehensively promote the construction project of teachers in schools in the new era, according to the "Central Committee of the Communist Party of China" According to the requirements of the State Council’s Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening the Reform of the Construction of the Teacher Team in the New Era, which “strengthen teachers’ participation in social practice and promote teachers’ full understanding of the Party’s conditions, the country’s conditions, social conditions, and the people’s conditions”, the Party Committee’s Teacher Affairs Department/Human Resources Division organized a national conditions education for new teachers in 2020 to guide young teachers to expand their horizons, grow their talents, make contributions, and serve the motherland while serving the society. In late September 2020, 32 new teachers went to four practice sites in Qingdao, Shandong, Shenzhen, Guandong, Haikou, Hainan, and Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, kicking off their practice of education, teaching, subject research, and think tank construction. The process of practice is also a process of understanding life, thinking about the present, sublimating the state of mind, and inspiring the mission. They use real and delicate brushwork and lenses to present practical stories that belong to themselves and more specifically to the young teachers of the University of International w88.

The day of departure back to Beijing is slowly approaching. If you think about it carefully, it has been almost two months since we arrived in Shenzhen, the destination of this national education, on September 29. Although I have been out of the status of a "student" for a long time, because I have been engaged in theoretical economics research in overseas universities, I rarely have the opportunity to step out of the literature and participate in practice. The national conditions education training for new teachers at the University of International w88 and Economics provided me with an opportunity to re-recognize my motherland, the University of International w88 and Economics, and re-examine myself at the beginning of a new job and new role. The story starts from the meeting 15 years ago.
1. Return, departure
In 2005, as a freshman, I was honored to enter the first experimental class of Honors Bachelor of Economics at the University of International w88 and Economics. Inspired and influenced by many professors at the w88 casino of Economics and Business at that time, I became interested in economic research and eventually became a researcher in theoretical economics. In September of this year, after experiencing a series of twists and turns caused by the epidemic, I completed my postdoctoral research in Australia as I wished, returned to the w88 casino of Economics and w88 of the University of International w88 and Economics as a new teacher, and began an exciting new journey.
After studying and working abroad for 11 years, I rarely have the opportunity to return to the University of International w88. When I came back this time, I personally felt the tremendous changes in my alma mater: the Hongtian Gymnasium with a standard swimming pool, the Qiushi Building with advanced teaching facilities, the new scientific research building, the South Gate with strong characteristics of the University of International w88, and so on. What makes people feel even more cordial are the students who are pursuing their dreams at the University of International w88 like me. I hope that in the future I can help their development through what I have learned, felt, and thought.
The reunion is short-lived. After completing all the entry procedures, I will head to the Shenzhen Research Institute of the University of International w88 to meet up with other new colleagues and officially start the national education training. The process of understanding this national conditions education is actually a process of getting to know the New International w88 casino. 2, meet
The day of departure for Shenzhen happens to be the eve of the National Day, which also adds a festive atmosphere to this trip to Shenzhen. This time, the national conditions education and training was an encounter process - meeting new colleagues and meeting Shenzhen. Four new teachers from the w88 casino of Economics and w88, the w88 casino of Insurance, and the w88 casino of Government also came to Shenzhen to participate in the national conditions education, including the calm teacher Guo Xiongfei who is responsible for leading the team, the knowledgeable teacher Tanya, the wise teacher Zhang Fan, and the cheerful teacher Feng Xinrui. Although everyone comes from different colleges and engages in research in different fields, similar career development experiences quickly made everyone familiar with each other. I feel very lucky to be able to come to the Shenzhen Research Institute to study and communicate with these teachers. The leaders and teachers of the Shenzhen Research Institute who were responsible for our trip to Shenzhen also made careful arrangements for our arrival, making the entire national conditions education and training process fulfilling and smooth.
My first stop after arriving was Lianhua Mountain in Shenzhen. The mountain is not high, but the scenery at the top is stunning: directly opposite the top of the mountain is the Shenzhen Civic Center and Futian District CBD. Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, the exploration and efforts of many predecessors have resulted in today’s stability and prosperity! I think it would be great if the departed forerunners could see the scene in front of them. Careful architects should have the same idea, and a statue of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the chief architect of reform and opening up, was erected on the top of the mountain opposite Futian CBD. "Thank you!" was what I said to the architect in my heart at that moment, and even more to Comrade Deng Xiaoping. Without the courage and leadership of this senior leader, it may be difficult for the world to see such a confident and rising China today.

After visiting Lianhua Mountain, we went to the Civic Center at the foot of the mountain to visit the exhibition "The Tide Rises from the Pearl River—The 40th Anniversary of Guangdong's Reform and Opening Up". For many young people, reform and opening up is like a painting. We can see the scenery in the painting, but we don’t know the creator’s mental journey and creative process. The "Tide Rising from the Pearl River" exhibition turns this painting and the story into a book, showing the details to the world one by one. Comrade Gu Mu’s shock during his visit to five European countries, Comrade Xi Zhongxun’s courage and hard-working spirit in insisting on reform, the history of Sino-British Street, etc., made me deeply realize for the first time that the four words “reform and opening up” are not a simple policy slogan. China's development is still on the road. I sincerely hope that we and our descendants can inherit the spirit of "reform and opening up" and continue to work hard for the rise of China and the Chinese nation!

In the following national conditions education, teachers Guo Xiongfei and Feng Xinrui and I formed a research team on the "Strategic Development Research of Shenzhen Virtual University Park" to visit and investigate the universities in the Shenzhen Virtual University Park and write a research report on promoting technological innovation and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the Virtual University Park. This is the first time that I have stepped away from the mathematical model of theoretical research and conducted practical research through interviews, questionnaires, etc., which can be said to be fruitful. This project research experience has provided me with a new perspective on many practical problems, and is destined to bring new inspiration to my future theoretical research. During the break from project research, I also gave a special lecture on "Auction Theory and Its Application" to in-service graduate students studying at the Shenzhen Research Institute, which was the first lesson after joining the University of w88 and Economics.
During this national conditions education, our five teachers who came to Shenzhen for national conditions education were also fortunate to meet Secretary Jiang Qingzhe and Deputy Secretary Li Maoguo who visited the Shenzhen Research Institute, and participated in the "Seminar on the Reform and Development of the Pioneer Demonstration Zone of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and the Study and Implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Speech on the 40th Anniversary of the Special Economic Zones" symposium. We felt the University of International w88's firm determination and confidence in going nationwide and serving China's economic development.
4, start again
At the end of this national conditions education, Teacher Xu Chenglong from the Shenzhen Research Institute led us to climb Wutong Mountain, the highest mountain in Shenzhen. The mountain is very steep and the start is already very difficult. We never saw the top of the mountain we were going to. During the process, we experienced several breaks, and starting again after each break was actually a challenge for us: How long is the road ahead? Will it be harder to walk? Do we have to reach the top? This experience can’t help but remind me of what I saw and felt during this national education. Whether it is a country, a university or an ordinary person, when we are not willing to stand at the foot of the mountain and want to climb to the top, starting the journey is actually very difficult. This is the case with reform and opening up, the development of the University of International w88, and the growth of my colleagues and me. When we reached the mountainside, the results of our past efforts were already showing before our eyes, and we were beginning to show signs of fatigue. Are you going to start again? Yes, we have to start again! Just as the reform and opening up has reached this day, we have still issued the "Comprehensive Reform Pilot Implementation Plan for Shenzhen's Construction of a Pioneer Demonstration Zone of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics (2020-2025)" and we must continue to implement reforms; as the top financial and economics w88 casino in the country, the University of International w88 and Economics continues to bravely go out of Beijing and serve the country; I and other new teachers have ended their doctoral and postdoctoral careers and continue to meet new challenges in new positions and new roles. How long is the road ahead? Maybe we don't know. Will it be harder to walk? Maybe yes. But, I think we will all keep going because our goal is to reach the top of the mountain.
