The discipline of finance and taxation has always been closely following the positioning requirements and goals of the w88 casino in cultivating talents, taking root in the national conditions, and striving to cultivate international and complex nationally useful talents. In order to achieve this goal, teachers in the Department of Finance and Taxation worked together and gradually formed a set of mature training concepts and methods.

First, use research to promote teaching, use research to promote learning, and improve students’ comprehensive abilities. “You have to be strong to make iron.” In recent years, teachers in the Department of Finance and Taxation have taken root in scientific research and constantly try to use scientific research capabilities to drive the improvement of the quality of talent training. In the past 10 years, teachers in the Department of Finance and Taxation have undertaken a number of projects commissioned by the National Social Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation, the Humanities and Social Sciences Planning of the Ministry of Education, and other government departments such as the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation; in American Economic Journal, European Economic He has published nearly a hundred papers in authoritative and core journals at home and abroad, such as Review, "Chinese Social Sciences", "Economic Research", "Management World", "Statistical Research", "World Economy", "Financial Research", "China Industrial Economy", "Economics (Quarterly)" and other domestic and foreign authoritative and core journals. Relying on these topics and papers, teachers' teaching quality and students' scientific research ability and theoretical knowledge application ability have been greatly improved.

Second, improve the training system and focus on the dual improvement of students’ professional knowledge and moral quality. The Department of Finance has two undergraduate majors: Finance and Taxation. For these two majors, in addition to the regular professional courses in finance and taxation, we have also specially set up special professional core courses such as "International Finance", "International Taxation", "Foreign Tax System and Comparative Tax System", which effectively enriches students' knowledge content and broadens their international horizons. Encourage students to take electives and minor language courses or majors, make full use of the w88 casino’s foreign language advantages, and improve students’ employability. Optimize the teaching performance evaluation method, use course papers, group presentations, teamwork and other forms for assessment and evaluation, and use classroom debates and other forms to improve students' professional ability and expression ability. In the core basic courses of majors such as "Finance" and "Taxation", ideological and political elements are specially added to the courses. Through case teaching, students' awareness of national conditions, public awareness, and rule of law are effectively cultivated.

Third, make full use of platforms and resources inside and outside the w88 casino to cultivate students’ practical and application abilities. w88 casino’s WHO-cooperated Tobacco Control and Economic Policy Cooperation Center supported by our teacher Zheng Rong, as well as numerous practice bases signed with the Beijing Municipal Taxation Bureau, the “Big Four”, and large state-owned enterprises, serve as a platform for students’ scientific research and practice and play an important role in cultivating students’ practical and application abilities. The Department of Finance and Taxation provides students with more than thirty industry or academic lectures, academic salons, etc. every academic year, allowing students to gain access to cutting-edge professional knowledge and information; it encourages and helps students to participate in various financial and taxation competitions in society, stimulates students' interest and enthusiasm in learning, enhances their ability to solve practical problems, and provides financial and technical support for the competition process. In November 2018 and November 2019, a team composed of mainly undergraduate students majoring in finance and taxation of w88 casino won the second place and first prize in the national finals of the "Deloitte Tax Elite Challenge" and the "Capital University Tax Case Competition" respectively. This also marks that the training quality of w88 casino's finance and taxation major has entered the forefront of universities nationwide.

Up to now, there have been four classes of graduates majoring in finance and taxation. Each class of graduates has maintained an employment rate of nearly 100% and a good graduation destination. Taking the 2018 finance major graduates as an example, among the 26 students in the class, 8 have passed the master's degree, 15 have been directly employed, and 3 have gone abroad for further study. Among the 15 people directly employed, 2 people passed the civil service examination and 8 people entered banks and state-owned enterprises.

This is specifically reflected in the following: first, employers such as accounting firms and foreign-funded enterprises report that graduates majoring in finance and taxation have good foreign language proficiency and teamwork skills; secondly, tutors of students who have entered universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University report that w88 casino’s finance and taxation graduates have a solid theoretical foundation and strong scientific research capabilities; thirdly, graduates working in financial bureaus, taxation bureaus and other units at all levels have demonstrated a solid professional theoretical foundation, comprehensive knowledge structure and good writing quality.

Although our department has made some achievements in cultivating finance and taxation professionals in the past, there are still many shortcomings. In the future, we will continue to take root in the national conditions, work hard and strive to cultivate more and better finance and taxation professionals with both ability and political integrity.
