This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. At this great and glorious moment, as a representative of the young teacher party members, I told my story of joining the party. I was very excited and felt particularly glorious.

I joined the Communist Party of China in April 2003. Now when I recall the scene of taking the oath under the bright red party flag, I still vividly remember it. Standing at a new starting point, I can’t help but ask myself, what is the original intention of joining the Communist Party of China? Have I seriously fulfilled my mission as a Communist Party member?

I am born in the 1980s to a peasant family in the mountains of western Zhejiang. My uncle joined the army and served as an air force pilot. He was also the first Communist Party member in his family. When I was a child, I had a special admiration for my uncle. I often pestered him and asked him to tell stories about the heroic fighting heroes of the party members in the army. Moisturizing things silently. Looking back now, it was at this time that the party took root in my heart.

It is precisely because of this that when I filled out my application form for the college entrance examination in July 2000, I applied for Nankai University, Premier Zhou’s alma mater. Premier Zhou has been determined to study "for the rise of China" since he was a teenager, and has set the lofty ambition of "facing the wall for ten years and trying to break it." Premier Zhou guided me and inspired me to set high aspirations and always follow the party. At Nankai University, I submitted my application for joining the Party for the second time. On July 13, 2001, I was participating in student military training during the summer vacation of my freshman year. At around 10 o'clock that night, when we heard the good news that Beijing had successfully bid for the 2008 Olympic Games, the entire dormitory building was in a state of excitement. Everyone went downstairs to sing the national anthem and military songs with the military training instructors, celebrating this historic and important moment on campus. At that time, I was very proud of my motherland, and I firmly believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the development of my motherland would get better and better. Studying and living in Nankai further strengthened my political beliefs and my determination and confidence to "study for the rise of China." Through four years of hard study in college and training in student organizations, I have further improved my political awareness and ability while achieving excellent results.

In the blink of an eye, it has been 18 years since I joined the Communist Party of China. Joining the party in the organizational form only happens once in a lifetime, but joining the party ideologically is a lifelong matter. Standing at the historical intersection of the "Two Centenaries", I must not forget my original intention, keep my mission in mind, make selfless contributions to the educational cause of the party and the people, and strive for life.
