8month9日, I work the evening shift at a super store in the central area. In the middle of my work, I suddenly received a call from my classmate Yang Di, who was working in the morning. She said anxiously that she had left her schoolbag in the public restroom next to the subway. The schoolbag contained many important items. If lost, it would cause a lot of trouble. There were many people in the central area, and she was worried about whether the schoolbag could be recovered. So I ran out during a break from work to help her search.
At first, I mistakenly ran to the mobile bathroom. I saw a staff member at the door, so I ran over to ask. She listened to my words without saying anything, and went in to help me find it. She patiently looked at each one and said a few words of comfort to me from time to time. Later, I sent a text message to Yang Di, and I realized that I was looking for the wrong place. I thanked her and immediately ran towards the subway.
When I arrived at the public restroom next to the subway, I saw the cleaning aunt again. I went up to ask. Sure enough, the schoolbag was picked up by one of them, but it had already been handed over to the cleaning company's office. After hearing this, although I felt relieved a lot, I started to worry again, where should I get my schoolbag back? Maybe it was luck. At this moment, an uncle driving a cleaning truck came over and said he could send me there. So I got on the battery car for the first time and drove to the cleaning company's office.
On the way, the uncle kept saying hello to passers-by. Only then did he realize that it was time to eat. The other staff had gone to the canteen to get food, but he still wanted to send me there. A sense of apology arose spontaneously, but the uncle smiled honestly, "What does this mean? You can eat later, but don't delay your business!”
The car drove for about five minutes and finally arrived at the cleaning company's office. As soon as he entered the room, he saw several uncles sitting around a table, with Yang Di's belongings spread out on the table. After explaining the purpose of his visit, an uncle who looked like a manager patted his leg cheerfully and said: "You came so quickly! As soon as I saw this schoolbag, I knew it was a student volunteer. Why are you so careless? Fortunately, someone sent it to you……”
It turned out that a cleaner named Sun Hongjie picked up the bag while cleaning. After waiting for almost half an hour, no one came to pick it up, so he asked someone to deliver the bag to the office. The staff here found Yang Di’s contact information in the bag and just called her to reassure her. There were three uncles and one sister in the office. They entertained me very warmly. They moved stools and poured water, and a warmth surrounded me again. When I checked the items, said thanks and was about to leave, I suddenly found that the uncle who sent me here was still waiting at the door. It took about half an hour from the time he sent me here to the time I left, and he didn't even have dinner in order to see me back!
From the time I came out to the time I returned to work, the sultry weather also made me a little tired and out of breath. But from the sister I met at the beginning, to the cleaner aunt, the scooter uncle, and then to several cute and enthusiastic uncles in the office, I met so many good people along the way. Indeed, they are ordinary, and you may not recognize them if you meet again after today, but they are so dedicated, so patient, and so enthusiastic to help me, an equally ordinary volunteer, isn't this a harmonious picture?
