My opening night
Olympic Village Accommodation Service Team Volunteer Liu Liu
2008Year8month8日, it is a long-awaited day. At 8:88 in the evening, the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games begins. In the ten minutes before going to the evening shift, I took the time to watch the opening scene,2008The sound of people hitting the fou resounded through the sky, shaking the world.
I just watched the opening ceremony and it was time for me to go to the night shift. I sat on the bus, my heart was full of excitement, and I looked at the bird's nest getting closer and closer. All the students in the bus cheered and jumped. The colorful light beams shot out from the bird's nest, which made the night look particularly beautiful.
After arriving at the media village, fireworks were everywhere. In the small square of the media village, foreign reporters raised the big curtain and watched carefully, and bursts of cheers broke out from time to time. I wanted to stop several times and join the watching team, but there was another voice in my heart silently saying: You are a waiter, you have your own position!
After changing into work clothes, I quickly completed the handover task at the front desk in the corridor. Although there was almost no one in the building, I still stood with a smile on my face. From time to time, I listened to the fireworks and cheers outside, and I wanted to take a look, but I still firmly rejected my thoughts: just hold on to my position, and I will succeed. I silently encouraged myself, cheered for China, and wished the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics a complete success.
Time passed minute by minute, and one after another, the reporters came back. It can be seen that they worked very hard, and some may have filmed for four or five hours continuously. All we can do is to open the door and say thank you for your hard work, but we must also do these things well.
Maybe it’s because I work the night shift. Unknowingly, when I looked at my watch, it was already9, does it mean the beginning of one sixteenth?
Looking at the guests coming in and out, many of them looked familiar, but I didn’t know their names. Suddenly I feel like there is nothing left16Oh my god,16Diva, I have to return to my role as a pure student, and my journalist friends and I may never have the chance to meet each other again, and we won’t even have a photo to remember.
It seems that there will be many such people in a person's life. They stay with you for a period of time and then separate, leaving no names or "a cloud". The time together is so short that they may not have any impact on each other. But I also feel that our service is not to exert influence, but to provide help when necessary. We will always be there ready to help you——Maybe this is what it means and what it feels like.
My partners and I have been together for more than a month, and we have become more and more understanding. If anyone gets tired standing, someone will take the initiative to take his place. The most common thing we say is "Go in and rest for a while, I can stand for a while longer."
