“Stumbling” Joy

8month7日, Looking back now, I only remember jumping back to the dormitory from the gymnasium, changing out of the soaked clothes, and running out with my bag in one hand and my volunteer ID card in the other before I had time to tidy up my volunteer clothes. My mood was also ignored in this embarrassment. It wasn't until I ran into the subway that I calmed down in the air conditioner, and the excitement slowly surfaced.

I have always been looking forward to the super store and can’t wait for it. After wandering around, I came to this huge red house. The first feeling is that it’s really good! The products are neatly displayed and the volunteers have bright smiles. I jumped like a bird to the Adidas counter where I was responsible.

Everything is still fresh. Introducing products to customers, looking for clothes, communicating with foreign friends in English, and even becoming a "model" to help try on clothes. But despite being fresh, I was also nervous. I couldn’t fold clothes, couldn’t find the goods, and felt that my English was really “poor” when communicating with foreign friends. Often let customers look on and keep repeating "I`m sorry, please wait a moment", then I lay on the ground and rummaged around, wondering why I couldn't find it. There was even an embarrassing scene where someone asked me to look for clothes, and my back was sweating. I felt so ashamed. Fortunately, despite this "stumbling", they all said with satisfaction when they left in the end"Thank you!”

Seeing my colleagues running around all the time, they went from being confused to working in an orderly manner, from being unfamiliar with the business to becoming more and more comfortable. Although we are not professional enough, we are enthusiastic, sincere, and we study hard. We are making "stumbling" progress and experiencing the sweet joy in our continuous progress.

Tomorrow is the opening day of the Olympic Games. Everything is ready and everything is going well. People all over Beijing and even across the country are looking forward to the great excitement that is coming.
