Tian Jingcheng, Director of the Publication Management Office of the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, Meng Dahu of "Journal of Beijing Normal University Liberal Arts", Wang Fengnian of "Journal of Tsinghua University", Wu Jingmin of "Journal of Renmin University of China", Zhou Bin of "Journal of Capital University of Economics and Business", Shi Xinzhong of "Journal of Capital Normal University", Zhou Xiaohua from the Journal of Beijing Technology and Business University, Wang Yi from the Journal of Beijing Technology and Business University, Liu Jianchang from the editorial board of International w88, and Du Xin from the editorial board of China Rural Economy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences attended the seminar.

Relevant staff of academic journals should conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, attach great importance to political orientation issues and normalize them, and strictly abide by journal management procedures.
Representatives of participating journalsThe journal policy of "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era" was discussed enthusiastically, and a consensus was reached on issues such as future journal policies.General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed in the report of the 19th National Congress to strengthen cultural confidence and promote the prosperity of socialist culture. Academic journals are the main forum for the publication and dissemination of scientific research results in universities, and play an important role in providing intellectual and cultural support for social development.The main contradiction in our society has been transformed. As the development of socialist cultural undertakings with Chinese characteristics enters a new era, academic journals should adhere to the development path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and serve the construction of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics. Academic journals should adhere to five insistences and five avoidances, namely: first, adhere to Marxism and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the guiding principles, and avoid vulgarizing and simplifying Marxism; second, adhere to the freedom of academic research and avoid being unorganized and undisciplined; third, insist on extensively absorbing modern mainstream academic theories and methods to avoid losing theoretical confidence; fourth, adhere to quantitative empirical research to avoid the loss of ideological and readability of published articles; fifth, insist on carrying forward the characteristics of each journal and avoid being complacent.
Representatives of the participating journals believed that Marxism should be viewed from a developmental perspective and get rid of mechanized ideological routines; dig deep into the value of Chinese traditional culture and build cultural confidence; inherit the outstanding achievements of civilization and take it as our own responsibility to promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. As a platform for publishing high-level domestic research results, academic journals should be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, aim to solve practical problems, and avoid simple and mechanical quantitative modelsApply, and strive to play the role of academic research exploration and criticism.
The successful holding of this seminar further pointed out the future direction of journals and will help academic journals better serve the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
