Revolving around the theme of "adherence" and "progress", Professor Xue started from his own career studying the General Agreement on Tariffs and w88 and his origins with the China World w88 Organization Research Institute. Professor Xue recalled that after 1978, reform and opening up became a national policy, foreign economic and w88 education rose, and many international economic and w88 issues emerged. He established for himself the mission of "studying domestic and foreign economic and w88 trends and writing unique articles on talent cultivation". He spurred himself on the principle that "professional excellence comes from diligence and waste from play, and formation comes from thinking and destruction from following." He taught hard and devoted himself to research. In 1982, he was recommended to study at the University of California for one year. During this period, Professor Xue began to study the General Agreement on Tariffs and w88. After China applied for "resumption of customs" in 1986, he became a member of the expert group of China's "resumption of customs" of the Ministry of Foreign w88, and had relatively comprehensive exposure to issues such as China's foreign economic and w88 system and policies. In 1991, he founded the GATT Research Society and the World w88 Organization Research Center at the w88 casino, and served as president and director. He believed that the biggest problem at this stage was not abroad but at home. The country did not have enough understanding of the WTO and did not pay enough attention to it. There was still room for improvement in many aspects such as education issues and economic policies. Based on the above factors, Professor Xue completed the book "China's Compliance with and Efforts to Advance WTO Rules" with a rigorous scholarly attitude, a realistic and innovative attitude, and a sense of mission to educate talents for the country.

Later, Professor Xue talked about another layer of his motivation for "adhering to" and "progressing" in choosing the topic. As a teacher and educator, how do you insist on "abiding" and "motivating"? Professor Xue said that teachers should not just immerse themselves in teaching and scientific research, but should “know what’s happening outside the window.” For example, they must deeply study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the 2018 National Education Conference to chart the course for their own “progress” in teaching and educating people. He believes that teachers must "abide by" the spirit of self-discipline, teach both by words and by example, and pay equal attention to teaching and educating. They must first do what students can do, have the ability to teach without computers, and pay attention to teacher ethics and not seek false reputations. Professor Xue insists on exploring teaching rules through practice, positioning the learning basis for undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students based on learning, research, and understanding. He adopts corresponding teaching methods and explores the large-class discussion method for undergraduate teaching, the "speculative teaching method" for master's students, and the "original study method" for doctoral students. His lectures are "starting, continuing, transferring, and integrating." Professor Xue then shared his eight research methods: internal first, continuous follow-up of questions, fishbone thinking method, hierarchical research, non-separation of politics and economics, combination of forward and reverse thinking, propositional research, and emphasis on practice.

Professor Xue Rongjiu once used the "dream of economic and w88 education" to compare his long journey of academic study, teaching and research in an interview. At the end of the first "Teacher's Talk·Teacher's Morality" teacher salon, Professor Xue presented his signed new book "China's Compliance and Progress to WTO Rules" to teachers and students, wishing teachers and students to persevere, be down-to-earth, and write a new chapter for China's economic and w88 career.
