A team of 200 people returned to campus in mid-August and began their National Day service preparations. On August 15, all 191 student volunteers and 7 teacher volunteers returned to w88 casino. On the morning of the 19th, the classroom of Ningyuan 526 officially kicked off the volunteer work for the October celebrations. During the five-day volunteer training, volunteers received video training on 20 different themes, including confidentiality work, basic knowledge and skills of volunteers, important speeches and expositions of the General Secretary, and international situations.
In order to successfully complete long-term and high-intensity service work, volunteers also conducted systematic physical training and enhanced team cohesion through a series of themed group day activities.

Listening to the military parade through the red wall
If I could sum up the National Day volunteers at the University of International w88 in a few words, they would leave early and come back late, be flexible and adapt, and stick to the wall.
In every joint training session, volunteers serve as both vanguards and rearguards. They are the first to set out to see the night view of Chang'an Street against the sunset, and they are the last to evacuate from Chang'an Street against the rising sun.
9On March 3rd, there was a joint training in the parade village. 198 people were assigned to dozens of scattered points, and their positions were constantly adjusted according to the situation. Twenty meters away from volunteers Long Xilai and Zhang Jun, shouts such as "Madam, please go to the second row for security check" and "Everyone, don't run! Pay attention to safety!" can be heard clearly. Although the cold and sleepiness hit us in waves, and even though our throats were hoarse from the constant shouting of the command, not a single volunteer quit to rest, and not a single word of complaint was made. The volunteers braved the cool breeze of early autumn, waving fluorescent sticks, holding loudspeakers and street signs in every corner of the parade ground, constantly directing and shouting for the huge flow of people in the parade. This stop lasted ten hours.
As the number of exercises increases, the complexity of volunteer work gradually becomes apparent. Since the joint training at the Parade Village on September 3, the volunteers’ positions have been varied and dispersed. However, whether it is a fixed post in the morning and a post in the evening, or a temporary relocation of posts according to the on-site plan, the volunteers have reached a high degree of tacit understanding, and the more complex the task, the easier it is to handle it with ease.
The time is long, the task intensity is high, and the only thing that cannot be replaced is the human position... These are nothing to the volunteers. What makes them suffer the most is that as the nearest on-site personnel, although the performance is close at hand, they have to stick to their posts and cannot watch.
In the South Square of Oriental Plaza, which is closest to the scene, some volunteers were assigned to positions with their backs to the street. Volunteer Yin Xiaofan was one of them. She turned her back to the jubilant streets throughout the process, but she did not complain at all: "Volunteers must obey the arrangements. It is our happiness and luck to hear the military parade under the red wall." Wearing volunteer uniforms represents Beijing volunteers and participants in the October celebrations; wearing volunteer uniforms represents the "parade-receiving" team that is not being reviewed.
On the day of the celebration, the volunteers of the University of International w88 were divided into three different positions at Dengshikou subway station, on-site security inspection, and Oriental Plaza South Plaza, respectively providing different support and services.
The guide in Dengshikou
As the subway entrance with the largest flow of people, the work of volunteers at Dengshikou Subway Station has never lacked challenges. They were divided into two teams and were on duty at the AC entrance of the subway. They held up guidance signs and held loudspeakers to actively guide the procession that entered the Dengshikou subway station. At four or five o'clock in the morning on October 1st, the sky was slightly bright, and the road at the subway entrance was narrow and uneven. In order to prevent safety accidents, volunteers used their mobile phones to illuminate the procession and kept reminding them to pay attention to safety under their feet. It was not until the procession had all passed and the volunteers walked out of the subway entrance that they suddenly realized: "It's dawn."
During the break, people who were stopped outside the controlled area looked excitedly at the volunteers who were slightly tired after the activity. They raised their mobile phones to take pictures of their exhaustion, excitement and pride. Knowing that they were being "reviewed", the volunteers still maintained good manners and order, leaving a good ending to their volunteer work.
The last line of defense at the celebration
As the last line of defense on the spot, the total number of people flow may not be as much as that of the outside, but the safety requirements still cannot be lax at all. Prohibited items, suspicious persons, and factors that may affect the progress of the activity must be stopped here.
However, faced with many and heavy tasks, the volunteers of the University of w88 and Economic Cooperation have been praised many times. In the early morning of October 1st, volunteer Shao Yini could not forget the scene at that time: "On the way to the volunteer post, the members of our group sang "My Motherland and Me" over and over again. Even though I had seen Chang'an Street many times in the early morning, I was still very excited when I arrived at the post on October 1st." The volunteers may have had a quick glance at the scene in the core area, but they were not allowed to watch the military parade in person because of their duties.
Watch in Oriental Square人
As an important team in maintaining the infield environment, volunteers in the South Square of Oriental Plaza often need to move around frequently to provide volunteer services. Volunteers patrol the nearly one-kilometer round-trip route every ten minutes to maintain order and provide emergency services such as guidance to medical points. Volunteers who did not have their turn to patrol formed a human wall to guide the flow of people at key intersections.
10On March 1, when the national anthem echoed in Chang'an Street, although the volunteers could not see the national flag, they took off their hats, saluted in the direction of Tiananmen Square, and sang the national anthem together. As the volunteer position closest to Chang'an Street, everyone's heart was filled with unspeakable happiness and touch. Volunteer Xing Xuan recalled excitedly: "When the 70-gun salute was accompanied by the sound of goose-stepping, and when we took off our hats and stared in the direction of the national flag, it turned out that tears can really stay in the eyes for 46 seconds."
When the parade set off from the assembly area, the volunteers who had successfully completed their tasks could finally embrace the joy of the festival. "The vibration of the ground when the armored vehicle started, the smell of the colorful threads pulled by the plane, the joy and excitement of the people who kept waving and cheering with the float parade. Only by standing there can you truly realize that all the nights you have spent and the nights you have passed have turned into one word - worth it." Volunteer Cai Bingying described excitedly.
