Fifteen kilometers: Hesitantly, keep your direction
"After running on a road that fills me with freshness, I will find that the crowd around me is getting thinner and thinner. The physical fatigue is indeed there, but the inner struggle is more intense." Some people slowed down, and some stopped at the supply station. The thoughts of giving up and doubt gradually became stronger during this journey. In Chen Lu's description, she sometimes counted the monotonous telephone poles one by one before she could barely run forward.
The pressure from the thesis and the weighing of choosing an internship made Chen Lu waver on the way to her goal. Fitting her own career plan is an important criterion for Chen Lu to choose an internship. Faced with an internship opportunity that was envied by others, after comprehensive consideration, she still firmly determined the direction of risk management and chose the current internship. Sometimes, she would review the things she accomplished every day and feel the meaning of hard work from the achievement of small goals; sometimes, she would jump out of the circle of study and work and release her stress while watching a movie. Chen Lu, who plans carefully, also had doubts during the period of hesitation, but she used the same resilience and endurance as in the marathon to convince herself to firm up her beliefs and win the psychological battles.“When you feel like you can’t hold on, just look at the interesting people running around you.” Chen Lu recalled the old man running while listening to cross talk, the participating groups shouting slogans together, and the little boy cheering her on. She cherished these precious memories.
