Two internships at United Nations agencies not only cultivated her unique international perspective, but also gave her a deeper understanding of the imbalances and differences in regional development during the process. For example, during her internship at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, she saw the dire lives of women and teenagers in South Asia and Africa. They were not only trapped by material conditions, but also limited by their cultural level and social policies. It was during her internship at an international organization that she felt closely related to the community of a shared future for mankind, and she gained a deeper understanding of the significance of the work of the United Nations: shaping an ideal, sustainable, and inclusive world. It was these thoughts that drove her to apply for the master's degree in international affairs at the Institute of International Studies and Development in Geneva.
For students like her who are interested in international governance and international organizations, Hu Hanlu gave her own advice.
