Personal ideals and interests are the guiding principles of Hu Hanlu’s college career.

Because of the interest in international organizations and pure feelings of family and country,7A few years ago, Hu Hanlu chose to participate in the selection of the first international organization talent training base class of the w88 casino. As for why she boldly chose such an emerging major, she explained: "Because I want to build a composite knowledge system, and give China a better voice on the international stage, and start a career of my own." During her undergraduate period, in addition to studying interdisciplinary knowledge such as international w88, law and French at the University of International w88 and Economics, she also went to France for an exchange during her senior year. During the exchange, she used her vacation time to visit the Palais des Nations in Geneva. It was this first encounter that made her understand what international organizations are really doing, and she fell in love with where people can change and shape the world little by little through their daily work. At this time, she secretly made up her mind: "I must return to Geneva again!"

For this goal, at the graduate level, she chose to participateELSA-WTOMoot court competition. At that time, w88 casino's law w88 casino had participated in the competition for several consecutive years, but had not yet reached the global finals in Geneva. However, she believed that as long as she tried her best, the result would not be disappointing. So she devoted herself to ten months of preparation for the competition. In the end, her hard work paid off. She and her team won the top four in the East Asia Competition and the Best Overall Complaint Writing Award and the Best Defendant's Complaint Writing Award. In the same year6Visiting to Geneva in monthWTOHeadquarters participated in the global finals and won the first place in the world12First place.

Back in Geneva again, she feels fulfilled and satisfied. She said: “Because it is personal interests that support me to keep moving forward, the moment the goal is achieved, there will be a sudden enlightenment at the end of the tunnel and an unprecedented sense of satisfaction. "And when she satWTOIn front of the long conference table where the member states of the headquarters were negotiating and negotiating, she was listening to the speech of the justice of the Appellate Body. For her, at that moment, a whole new world opened up again. For the first time, she truly felt that global governance, which seemed to be separated from the clouds, was actually happening in Geneva every day. She could also participate through her own efforts and shape the future of the world. This experience strengthened her determination to work in the United Nations. Therefore, in her second year as a graduate student, Hu Hanlu chose to do internships at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund for half a year each.

International vision, caring about the world

Two internships at United Nations agencies not only cultivated her unique international perspective, but also gave her a deeper understanding of the imbalances and differences in regional development during the process. For example, during her internship at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, she saw the dire lives of women and teenagers in South Asia and Africa. They were not only trapped by material conditions, but also limited by their cultural level and social policies. The unemployment and out-of-w88 casino rates of women and teenagers remained high all year round. In response to this situation, she put forward relevant policy suggestions to support women's entrepreneurship and youth employment, which were eventually adopted and included in the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's Asia-Pacific regional development strategy.

After returning to China, she applied through the official website and got an internship at the United Nations Children's Fund in China. She was mainly responsible for the protection of children's rights and social corporate responsibility in the South-South Cooperation Office. During the internship, under the framework of South-South cooperation, she independently completed a report on Chinese corporate social responsibility in Kenya, investigating the efforts of Chinese companies in Kenya to improve the lives of local children, such as education, drinking water and sanitation. She was also responsible for the translation of the official Chinese report of UNICEF on children’s rights in games and child safety toolkits in business.

Although she has achieved great results in her internship, she believes that her biggest gain from two United Nations internships is: I saw that Africa’s science and education level is backward, and the low education penetration rate has caused a large number of people to fall into poverty traps; South Asia has serious gender inequality and women’s unemployment rate remains high; I began to think about what young people can do for the welfare of vulnerable groups in these underdeveloped areas. What kind of world we want to live in, we can portray and shape it through our own actions. When we step out of our own "little box", we will find that we can do more to make the world better. It was during her internship at an international organization that she felt closely related to the community of a shared future for mankind, and she gained a deeper understanding of the significance of the work of the United Nations: shaping an ideal, sustainable, and inclusive world. It was these thoughts that drove her to apply for the master's degree in international affairs at the Institute of International Studies and Development in Geneva.

For students like her who are interested in international governance and international organizations, Hu Hanlu gave her own advice. First of all, English written writing and oral expression skills are the foundation. After all, English is the main working language of international organizations, and learning another foreign language is also of great benefit; at the same time, you need to cultivate your international perspective, such as participating in Model United Nations and moot courts, to achieve all-round development; in addition, you also need to consult with county officials from the United Nations and other international organizations, determine goals around your own learning fields, abilities, and personal interests, and do some international organizations.NGO, internship in international development-related fields, and awards for breaking down big goals and breaking small goals one by one, and persevering in one's own direction.

During the interview, Hu Hanlu actively expressed her views and explained her views on the questions raised by reporters. Her words are full of confidence, enthusiasm and optimism. She answered the reporter's questions patiently. In her opinion, life is just like working in the United Nations. If she can help more people with her own efforts, it will be a fulfilling and meaningful thing. As for his attitude towards life, "fire in his heart and light in his eyes" should be the best way to describe him.
