Qi Yuling: Improve yourself through challenges

Future development: keep your feet on the ground and be your own dream chaser
When Qi Yuling first entered campus as a freshman, she did not blindly follow the crowd and participate in various competitions, clubs and activities that everyone participated in. Instead, she explored her own interests step by step. During her sophomore year, she had already decided on her future direction of studying abroad, so she actively made short- and long-term preparations for this and participated in many competitions and activities related to her chosen major. It is worth mentioning that Qi Yuling did not apply for the translation major she studied as an undergraduate. Instead, she followed her heart and started studying the education major. For this reason, Qi Yuling has been working hard to explore various ways to understand and learn the major she wants to apply for during her college years. For example, I used my vacation time to participate in a summer project at University College London (UCL) in the UK and take relevant courses; I participated in an international volunteer teaching project to enrich my experience; I participated in various types of high-quality internships, during which I gained a deep understanding of the industry background and development trends, accumulated practical experience, and broadened my horizons; I participated in educational forums, exchanges, and academic conferences to deepen my professional understanding, and generated new thinking through exchanges with seniors and seniors. Internship experience: start with interest and lead with goals
Similar to choosing the direction of future development, when choosing internships, Qi Yuling also did not blindly follow and participate in internship projects that students were willing to choose. Instead, he participated in projects that interested him based on his own needs. Because of her unique focus on education, she participated in the Nepal International Teaching Volunteer Project. During the project, Qi Yuling went to local primary schools, junior high schools and temples to teach English, mathematics and other subjects to children. The whole process has not been smooth sailing. There are more or less problems in communication with younger children, shortage of local education resources, and difficulty in unifying the teaching progress. However, Qi Yuling did not stop in the face of difficulties.
