The domestic COVID-19 epidemic should still face the risk of sporadic cases, overseas imports, and clustered epidemics for a long time to come. Workers in restaurants, supermarkets, transportation and other service industries, as well as public windows, come into contact with a large flow of people and close to each other due to work reasons. The infection status of these personnel is unknown, so they must adhere to good hygiene habits, take personal protection, wear masks during work, and perform good hand hygiene. Where possible, maintain safe social distance and maintain good ventilation and cleanliness in the workplace. At the same time, daily health monitoring must be done. If suspicious symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, etc. occur, you should leave your job immediately, seek medical attention as soon as possible, and conduct investigation.
Regarding whether to wear a mask, one principle should be followed, that is, if the ventilation conditions are good and a good and safe social distance can be maintained, the mask does not need to be worn. This includes the following situations:
First, you do not need to wear a mask outdoors, such as in parks, streets with fewer people, including playgrounds. Masks should not be worn especially during strenuous exercise.
Second, in low-risk areas where no new cases have been reported recently, masks are not required in offices, conference rooms, construction sites, and schools when ventilation conditions and relatively safe social distance can be maintained.
However, there are three situations where it is recommended to wear a mask:
First, it is recommended to wear a mask in some relatively closed public places, such as public transportation, elevators, and crowded public places, because you may come into contact with people whose infection status is unknown.
Second, when you are sick, especially if you have fever, cough or respiratory infection symptoms, you should wear a mask. This is mainly to avoid spreading the source of the disease to other people. This principle must be followed not only during the epidemic, but also at all times in the future. People who are sick must wear masks.
Third, in specific environments, such as going to the hospital, whether you are going to the hospital for treatment or accompanying relatives and friends to a medical institution, you must wear a mask in places like the hospital. Therefore, it is recommended to wear masks regularly in these three situations to reduce the risk of infection.
