The communication between graduate counselors fully illustrates the common problem of weak subjective initiative among some students, and also highlights the particular difficulties faced by students from different majors in specific application environments.
Xu Song pointed out that in the face of the 10.76 million fresh graduates nationwide in 2022 and the ever-changing external environment of epidemic prevention and control, the current "730" group assistance work mentioned in the "How to Do a Good Job in Employment and Entrepreneurship Work" is a difficulty that urgently needs to be overcome. In the long run, employment is not only an economic issue, but also a training issue. Only by strengthening the quality selection of students and the quality of talent training can colleges finally achieve good employment. On the other hand, only by fully grasping the basic data of positions in schools and various industries in society can we understand social needs in a timely manner and do a good job in employment guidance.
In the face of the issues raised at the symposium, Xu Song put forward several suggestions to the participating teachers. First, they must shoulder responsibilities, continuously invest in learning new knowledge and new policies, and do a good job in employment services and employment guidance; second, they must persist in the long term and mobilize the faculty of the college to jointly contribute to the employment of graduates; third, they must continue to help students in need and help graduates in the complex and ever-changing employment situation. Next, we must correctly understand ourselves, correctly understand the context of industry and academic development, and make correct career plans; fourth, we must systematically adjust working methods and methods, and pay attention to cultivating trust in schools and teachers from the time students enroll; fifth, we must make full use of relevant policies on flexible employment and freelancing, try to develop long-term and short-term offers, and explore the possibility of establishing scientific research assistants at the college level.
