In early May, Yan Hongwei, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute for Business in Athens, and teachers and students of the Confucius Institute were invited to participate in two important Sino-Greek cultural exchange activities. Teachers and students of the Confucius Institute have deeply integrated civilized dialogue and friendly people-to-people exchanges through multiple art forms such as song singing and poetry recitation, and actively promoted exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and Greek civilizations and people-to-people bonds.
Teachers and students of the Confucius Institute appeared at the opening ceremony of the Xinjiang Cultural Relics and Art Exhibition, singing a harmonious symphony between China and Greece
On the evening of May 7, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Athens Business, Yan Hongwei, and the students of the Confucius Institute were invited to attend the opening ceremony and dinner of the China Xinjiang Cultural Relics and Art Exhibition "Sharing Beauty in Thousands of Miles - Symphony of Civilizations on the Silk Road". The event was held at the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens, Greece.
This exhibition is guided by Xinhua News Agency, the Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Alliance, and the Chinese Embassy in Greece, and hosted by the Cultural Relics Bureau of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It vividly displays the picture of civilizational exchanges along the Silk Road through the combination of replicas of cultural relics and digital display. The Chinese Embassy in Greece and other Chinese and Greek cultural institutions and guests from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony. Tang Wei, deputy director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, said in his speech that he hoped to use this exhibition as an opportunity to continue the deep friendship between the ancient civilizations of China and Greece; Georges Tsaprounis, chairman of the board of directors of the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens, pointed out that culture is an important link to promote dialogue and understanding, and helps promote mutual respect and peaceful coexistence between different countries.

At the opening ceremony, the students of the Confucius Institute presented a wonderful artistic performance, adding youthful brightness and vitality to this civilized dialogue. Among them, the Chinese song "Flowers Along the Road" sung by Ma Lining has a beautiful melody and beautiful meaning; "Passing Through the World" sung by Eva has a warm and delicate voice. The two students also sang the well-known local song "Μια πόλη μαγική" (Magical City) in Greek, paying tribute to Greek culture and the thousand-year-old city of Athens. This program used art as a bridge to vividly demonstrate the cultural exchanges and friendship between Chinese and Greek youths, and won warm applause from the guests present.

Teachers and students of the Confucius Institute help the overseas Chinese delegation’s re-election celebration and perform Chinese culture affectionately
On the afternoon of May 9, Yan Hongwei, Chinese Director of the Athens Business Confucius Institute, and teachers and students of the Confucius Institute were invited to attend the ninth re-election ceremony and the inauguration ceremony of the Board of Directors of the Greek Overseas Chinese and Fujian Federation. The event was held at DIVINE HALL. Political dignitaries from China and Greece, including Counselor Zhu Zhigang of the Chinese Embassy in Greece, Deputy Mayor of Athens, as well as representatives of local overseas Chinese and guests from all walks of life gathered together to witness this grand event for the overseas Chinese community.
During the event, teachers and students of the Confucius Institute presented colorful programs. Eva once again sang "Passing Through the World" with a sincere and moving voice; student Chris told the traditional Chinese cultural story "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea" with clear and smooth pronunciation, showing her deep understanding of Chinese culture; Confucius Institute teacher Zhao Wanchen and the students hoped to recite the poem "Reading China" together, expressing her true love for Chinese culture affectionately. The program integrated various art forms such as songs, traditional stories and poetry recitations, fully demonstrated the good spiritual outlook of the teachers and students of the Confucius Institute and the unique charm of Chinese culture, and further brought the emotional ties between the Confucius Institute and the Chinese community in Greece closer.
From the opening ceremony of the cultural relics exhibition to the re-election celebration of the overseas Chinese, the two activities that the Confucius Institute at Athens Business participated in recently integrated dialogue between civilizations and the return of nostalgia.
