Then Shao Wen, the eighth and ninth president, delivered his resignation speech, and invited members of the honorary bureau and the ninth and tenth chairman, chief supervisor, and secretary-general to jointly supervise the handover, and handed the heavy seal to the hands of the tenth president, alumnus Xiong Wensheng.

He said that the American South China General Association was established in 2005. In the past 18 years, with the hard work of the previous leaders of the American South China General Association, today the American South China General Association has a better momentum of development.
In the past four years, alumnus Xiong Wensheng has served as the Chairman of the South China General Association, working closely with President Shao Wen and Chairman Yu Zewei to jointly provide a large number of services to overseas Chinese and the Chinese community. Announced today as the 10th President of the South Chinese Association of the United States, he deeply feels the great responsibility. It is worth mentioning that Mei Nanhua is always under the president's responsibility system under the leadership of the Standing Council, which means that he will bear greater responsibilities and pressure.But pressure is motivation. Based on his 28 years of experience in serving the overseas Chinese community in Southern California and 16 years of working experience in serving the South Chinese Association of America, he believes that he has the ability to lead the South Chinese Association of America to a higher level on the current basis in the next term.In the next term, he will work closely with the South China General Leadership Team to comprehensively promote the work, starting from association development, community building, promoting unity, opposing Asian discrimination and strengthening Sino-US exchanges, etc., to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently and smoothly.He expressed his gratitude to the leading cadres of the US South China General Association for their support to him, and believed that he would lead the US South China General Administration to make steady progress and development during his term of office.
