Carrying out in-depth study and practice of the Scientific Outlook on Development activities throughout the Party is a major strategic decision made by the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In accordance with the deployment of the central government, colleges and universities participated in the second batch of learning and practice activities. Here, I would like to share some thoughts:
1. We must fully understand the significance of learning and practicing the Scientific Outlook on Development
The Scientific Outlook on Development was first proposed for economic development and social development. The first essence of the scientific outlook on development is development, because development is the last word. Its core is people-oriented. The basic requirement is comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development, and the fundamental method is overall planning.
The significance of carrying out in-depth study and practice of the scientific outlook on development activities can be understood from at least two aspects. From a macro and overall perspective, the Scientific Outlook on Development is the inheritance of the ideas on development of the three generations of the Party's central leadership with Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, and Jiang Zemin as the core. It is a concentrated expression of the Marxist worldview and methodology on development. It is a scientific theory that is in line with Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of "Three Represents" and advances with the times. It is an important policy for guiding economic and social development in our country, and a major strategic thought that must be adhered to and implemented to develop socialism with Chinese characteristics.
From a micro and practical perspective, this theory is visible, tangible, and effective. As large as a country, as small as a unit or department, all should develop scientifically. Because development is endless, development requires scientific development. If we do not pay attention to scientific development, we will have haste but waste time. For example: environmental problems cost us a lot, people hate a series of food safety issues such as Sanlu milk powder, and in the context of global economic integration, how to better respond to the current economic crisis, etc. Some problems need to be guided by the Scientific Outlook on Development to summarize experiences and lessons, and some problems need to be actively faced under the guidance of the Scientific Outlook on Development.

In the past two years, the work of the Logistics Department has been relatively remarkable.
Our energy conservation and emission reduction work is at the forefront of universities, and we have achieved many innovations and saved money; our dormitory management has cooperated with advanced schools, and safety and sanitation have been highly praised by everyone in the past few years; teaching building management and other centers have their own characteristics and highlights. In recent times, the canteen work has begun to show good changes: Secretary Wang said at the party and government liaison meeting today: Students said that the canteen is quietly improving. I visited most of the centers last year, and everyone put forward many good development suggestions and were very enthusiastic. The achievement of these achievements is the result of the joint efforts of all the staff of the Logistics Department, the result of the hard work of the center directors, party members and backbones of the masses present, and the result of the united efforts of the leadership team of the Logistics Department. Everyone has worked hard and sweated for the development of the logistics of the University of Economics and Business, and I would like to express my gratitude to everyone.
However, while acknowledging these efforts and achievements, it does not mean that our work is perfect. As we all know, all teachers and students have high hopes for logistics, and there is still a lot of potential to be tapped in our service support work. Now, we must take advantage of the opportunity to learn and practice the Scientific Outlook on Development, think deeply, hold large discussions, revise our next work ideas and development plans, and strive to reach a new level. Therefore, logistics learning and practical activities can have a lot of tangible content.
The implementation plan of the Logistics Department’s in-depth study and practice of the Scientific Outlook on Development activities was well drawn up. He emphasized that we should adhere to the principles of emancipating the mind, highlighting practical characteristics, taking the mass line and focusing on positive education, and grasped the correct direction of activities; he proposed to focus on research and solution of management system problems, service quality problems and employee professional level problems, and grasped the key points of the activities more accurately; the specific stages and steps of the activities were also designed to be scientific and reasonable, and he was also prepared to study and inspect at Beijing Normal University, East China University of Science and Technology and Shandong Agricultural University. I think these are all good measures, but the key is to do them well and achieve real results.
Three, some hopes and requirements
In order to make the logistics study and practice scientific outlook on development activities vivid and lively, and to truly clarify the ideas and lay the foundation for the next step of work, I put forward the following three hopes and requirements.
1.Really implement the various plans and activities in the "Implementation Plan" of the Logistics Department.
