Form a new consensus in ideological emancipation
——Comments on the series of activities for in-depth study and practice of the scientific outlook on development
Persisting in emancipating the mind is one of the main principles that needs to be grasped when carrying out learning and practice activities, and it runs through the entire learning and practice activities. During the study and research stage, we must grasp the important link of emancipating the mind and discussing it, and form a new consensus on scientific development in the emancipation of the mind. Only then can we create a good atmosphere for emancipating the mind for learning and practice activities, and lay an important foundation for achieving the goals of the learning and practice activities.
Discussions on emancipating the mind must be conducted closely around scientific development. Scientific development is a theme that must be highlighted from beginning to end in learning and practice activities. The renewal of development concepts, the transformation of development ideas, the solution of development problems, and the improvement of systems and mechanisms are all inseparable from the emancipation of the mind. Organizing all party members to conduct ideological emancipation discussions around scientific development is to guide party members, especially party members and leading cadres, to liberate their ideological understanding from the constraints of concepts, practices and systems that violate the requirements of the scientific outlook on development, overcome thoughts such as satisfying the status quo and being conservative, create a new realm of ideological emancipation, establish a correct view of political performance, and enhance the consciousness and firmness of implementing the scientific outlook on development. We should further deepen the understanding of the Scientific Outlook on Development among party members, especially party members and leading cadres, effectively enhance their awareness of danger, responsibility and opportunity, further broaden their horizons, minds and minds, and form new consensus on major issues related to whether, whether, and how to develop scientifically in this region, department, and unit.
Discussions on emancipating the mind must seek truth from facts and proceed from reality. Emancipating the mind is the inevitable requirement and prerequisite for seeking truth from facts, and seeking truth from facts is the purpose and destination of emancipating the mind. Fundamentally speaking, emancipating the mind means making thoughts consistent with reality, and making subjectivity consistent with objectivity; acting in accordance with objective laws means seeking truth from facts. The process of emancipating the mind is a process of combining the basic principles of Marxism with the specific practice of developing socialism with Chinese characteristics. We must use the Scientific Outlook on Development to guide ideological emancipation, and conduct ideological emancipation discussions in close connection with the actual work and the ideological realities of Party members and cadres, so that thoughts and actions are more in line with the Party’s ideological line, the laws of economic and social development, the laws of nature, and the Party’s governing laws, so that the Party’s work and Party building are more in line with the requirements of the Scientific Outlook on Development.
Emancipating the mind is a magic weapon for developing socialism with Chinese characteristics. Since the reform and opening up, every major development in practice, every major innovation in theory, and every major progress in work of our party are the result of insisting on emancipating the mind and continuous reform and innovation. In the practice of promoting scientific development, only by taking emancipation of the mind as the guide and reform and innovation as the driving force can we form new consensus at a new ideological level, open up new ideas, come up with new methods, study new situations, solve new problems, open up new situations, make a profound change in development concepts, development ideas, development methods, and development systems, and establish ideas, methods, and systems that meet the requirements of the scientific outlook on development.
There is no end to development practice and there is no end to emancipating the mind. In the study and practice activities, we must take advantage of the important opportunity of emancipating the mind to discuss, focus on changing ideological concepts that are not suitable and incompatible with the requirements of scientific development, and transform the new results of ideological emancipation into conscious actions to implement the scientific outlook on development. In the practice of reform, opening up, and socialist modernization, we must always persist in emancipating the mind, constantly forming new consensus on scientific development, and constantly gathering powerful forces to promote scientific development, so that our country's economic and social development will be sound and rapid.
