The vivid stories I heard in the past two days and the touching pictures I saw quickly replayed in my mind so clearly. It turns out that such an ordinary position as I once believed can also produce such extraordinary things. I once lamented that I missed the opportunity to volunteer for the event, but when I saw the figure standing in the dusk in the picture and heard the heart-touching stories, I was amazed and deeply felt that standing up for this job also requires effort and sweat, and it is equally or even more proud.
If there was anything that touched me the most in these two days, I think it would be "love without words". This is a name I gave to a link in the training. I can't think of a more appropriate word to describe the warmth and touching feeling. The whole session is to train the blind guide skills. Every two people are in a group, one is the blind person and the other is the guide. The blind person must completely cover their eyes with a cloth, and the guide must safely lead the blind person up and down stairs, across the road, and through roadblocks without verbal communication. I was a blind person during the training, and the guide I partnered with was a sister who was a community volunteer. I still remember her gentle hands and the fragrance of her body. When I was first blindfolded, the moment of darkness made me at a loss. For an ordinary person like me, it was very scary to move around when I suddenly lost my vision. I knew that there was a flat road under my feet but I hesitated to take steps. That sister has been holding my hand gently, guiding me slowly, letting my heart relax little by little, and I can slowly move forward with her. I suddenly realized that the trust in love was the key to finally being able to take steps freely. Although no verbal guidance was allowed during the whole process, the gentle care really made me slowly eliminate my initial fear and follow her forward with confidence. It turns out that love can be silent.
