The Global Sustainable Supply Chain Student Competition is supported by the United Nations Group of Friends for Sustainable Transport and is a global competition jointly organized by the Global Supply Chain Classroom, the International Center for Transport Diplomacy (ICTD) and the Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA). It aims to propose innovative solutions to sustainable development-related issues and practical challenges faced by the global supply chain. The competition brings together student teams from developed and developing countries to work collaboratively to develop action-oriented and sustainable solutions to global supply chain challenges by simulating real-world business operations. Many companies and institutions around the world provided cases for this competition. The diversity of transnational cases and international education are the highlights of this competition.
The first competition was launched in September 2023 and lasted for 3 months, spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, America, Africa and other regions. It attracted people from Tsinghua University in China, Beijing Institute of Technology, w88 casino, Tongji University, Southeast University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, University of Maryland and University of Wisconsin in the United States. 71 teams from 31 domestic and foreign universities, including the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of Rhode Island, Iowa State University, Cranfield University in the UK, Frankfurt University of Technology in Germany, City University of Toronto in Canada, Institut Supérieure d’Etudes Logistics in France, Moscow State University in Russia, and Algerian Higher w88 casino of Business, participated in the competition.
