Recently, Peng Liyuan, WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Tuberculosis/AIDS Prevention and Treatment, attended the 2024 "World AIDS Day" themed publicity event at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and presented flags to representatives of college student AIDS prevention volunteers. Lei Haichao, Director of the National Health Commission, Shen Hongbing, Deputy Director of the National Health Commission and Director of the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, Wang Jiayi, Vice Minister of Education, and Sun Junmin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Propaganda Department, attended the event.

December 1st is the 37th "World AIDS Day". Our country's propaganda theme is "Social governance, ending AIDS, and sharing health."

Thematic publicity activities reviewed the progress and effectiveness of AIDS prevention across the country in recent years, popularized AIDS prevention and treatment knowledge through classes, sitcom performances, interviews and other forms, and introduced the development of AIDS prevention volunteer activities in colleges and universities. Before the themed publicity event, Peng Liyuan and others visited the ten-year history display of the Red Ribbon Youth Campus Tour of "Beautiful Youth, I am the Master" to learn about the effectiveness of AIDS prevention publicity work in colleges and universities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. She had cordial exchanges with college students who participated in campus AIDS prevention publicity activities, expressed condolences to medical staff, volunteers, etc., and encouraged everyone to continue to work together to participate in AIDS prevention and control work, to deliver more healthy and positive AIDS prevention energy, and to keep AIDS away from campus.
