Editor’s note:Jingzhe Tian, the rain stops. The spring thunder awakens the small animals that have burrowed into the soil to overwinter, and the kapok flowers bloom dazzlingly overnight. The wind is light and the clouds are light, the sun is gentle, the air is like gurgling clear water, and even the silhouette of the city becomes soft and gentle.

Spring is here.

As a new star in the Renaissance era, Thomas Nash used rich and colorful images, blended dynamic and still scenes, and painted a scene of spring for us.

Let us soak in the breath of spring around us and taste this beautiful poem together.

Spring, the sweet Spring, is the year's pleasant king;
Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,
Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,
And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,
Young lovers meet, old wives a-sunning sit,
In every street these tunes our ears do greet,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
Spring! the sweet Spring!
