Youth confesses to the motherland, young people shoulder hope
Lianli
I am Lian Li from the w88 casino of Foreign Languages of the w88 casino, and I am also a student of w88 casino’s “horse training class”. In the past year or so since I entered w88 casino, under the ideological and political training system of the graduate w88 casino, I think that my ideological and political awareness has been significantly improved, and my knowledge and experience have also increased. So today I am very honored to have the opportunity to tell you some of my experiences and share what I have seen and heard over the past year.
First of all, I want to tell you what I saw and heard when I participated in the winter vacation research activity for graduate students organized by the Research and Engineering Department last winter vacation. Every year we have the opportunity to leave the city and the classroom and go to the hinterland of the motherland as researchers, arriving in some national-level poverty-stricken counties to see the local customs, customs and reforms.
The destination of our research was Lujiagou Town, Dingxi City, Gansu Province. When mentioning Gansu, a picture of a vast desert, sunset over a long river, and camel bells pops up in everyone's mind. When I was teaching in Gansu, a fellow villager joked: "If loess becomes valuable one day, we will definitely be the richest people in the country."
Since it was a survey, our original intention was to see the most real situation, so after listening to the explanations of the relevant situations and policies from the responsible comrades in the town, we drove to Jiangtai Village. When we arrived at Jiangtai Village, which should now be called Jiangtai New Village, what came into view were rows of neat houses and a beautiful small square. This was different from what I imagined. The village cadres were a little surprised when they saw me, and introduced with a smile: "This is the relocation policy. In the past, our life was quite hard and we relied on the weather for food. Now that the policy has been improved, we are enjoying the blessings." , The group of villagers you are looking at now are the villagers who enjoyed the policy earlier. In the future, everyone’s new houses will be built little by little, and we will be removed from the poor hat little by little!” During the lunch break, I relied on my ability to understand some local dialects and was curious about how potatoes are grown, so I walked to the farmland to have a look (please don’t laugh, I really don’t know). This became the most touching experience for me.
When I walked to the planting base, there was a fellow villager standing by the field. I walked up to him and expressed my intention to come. He was very enthusiastic and wanted to introduce it to me. I asked him: "Old man, when will we harvest the potatoes?" He smiled and said, "You kids are very good at reading, but you really don't know anything about things in the fields. This year's potato harvest has already been finished." I asked again how the harvest was, and he smiled happily and said: "People in the village often talk about how to plant, and I don't understand much. But I know that farming is so easy now. You don't need to save the seeds, just buy them directly, as well as fertilizers. The Communist Party has built canals and vegetable cellars, and people will come to harvest. In the past, we would squat in the fields and cry when there were droughts and floods. Now everyone says that droughts and floods guarantee a good harvest." Although you young people all like to go to the city, our days are not tiring at all. "The midday sun, the smell of the land, and the old man's smile, that moment will be forever fixed in my memory.
This research activity allowed me to personally feel the earth-shaking changes that have taken place in the northwest rural areas in the past few years. Poverty alleviation policies have covered all aspects as much as possible, such as targeted poverty alleviation, one household, one policy, etc. Parents are familiar with it, especially the ecological concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are mountains of gold and silver", which has made Gansu, which is full of loess, full of vitality. The frequency of sandstorms has also dropped significantly, and the countryside has begun to appear in front of the world with a new look.
Let our thoughts leave the northwest of the motherland and return to her heart—Beijing, where the second story takes place. In May of this year, I participated as a volunteer in the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations, working in the news center. Different from the first volunteer experience, the service targets this time are all domestic and foreign media. In order to ensure that the overall event can proceed smoothly, in addition to English volunteers, we have also equipped volunteers with minority languages to receive some foreign journalists. When I accompanied a Syrian journalist to complete the relevant procedures, he said to me: "This is my first time in China. I just heard that China has developed very well in recent years. Although I was mentally prepared, I was still shocked by your country's achievements. This summit will be particularly exciting. I hope to come to China often in the future." This feeling reminded me of the first summit. I stood at the C1 entrance of the National Convention Center and watched friends from all over the world enter the venue. The sense of national pride and patriotism was old.
When I was at the venue, I once asked a foreign guest from the United Arab Emirates why he came to attend the summit, and he told me seriously: "I think China's Belt and Road Initiative is really beneficial to our country. Moreover, the end of the Silk Road is our Arab countries, and our friendship with China also has a long history. This kind of cooperation is what we yearn for, why not come?"
This volunteer activity made me truly feel the motherland’s increasing international status and influence. At the same time, I also realized the Chinese people’s philosophy of peace-loving, sincere cooperation, and mutual benefit. Building a community with a shared future for mankind is truly a great blueprint that will serve the present and benefit the future.
We, the young generation, are born at the right time and shoulder heavy responsibilities. We should step forward and make a difference. I remember that a foreign guest once said to me: "In you young people, I see the reasons and hope for China's rapid development over the past 40 years." Today, our motherland is about to celebrate her 70th birthday. I also want to send this sentence to all the students here. It is the motherland that has set up the most gorgeous stage for us to pursue our dreams, and also provides us with unlimited possibilities to realize our dreams. When young people are strong, the country is strong. Our Chinese young people are boundless with our country!
Youth confesses to the motherland, and young people shoulder hope! I love you, Motherland!
