The third session of the 13th National People’s Congress concluded successfully

  The third session of the 13th National People's Congress held a closing meeting at 15:00 on May 28. The meeting voted on various draft resolutions, draft laws and draft decisions. Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders attended.

The Third Session of the 13th National People’s Congress:

-The resolution on the government work report was voted on.

-The Civil Code of the People's Republic of China was adopted by vote. This law will come into effect on January 1, 2021.

-The decision of the National People's Congress on establishing and improving the legal system and enforcement mechanism for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to safeguard national security was voted on.

-The resolution on the implementation of the 2019 National Economic and Social Development Plan and the 2020 National Economic and Social Development Plan was voted on, and the 2020 National Economic and Social Development Plan was approved.

-The resolution on the implementation of the central and local budgets in 2019 and the central and local budgets in 2020 was voted on, and the 2020 central budget was approved.

-The resolution on the work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress was voted on.

-The resolution on the work report of the Supreme People's Court was adopted by vote.

-The resolution on the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate was adopted by vote.

-The decision was passed to confirm that the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress accepted Feng Zhonghua's request to resign as a member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress.
