Youth role model｜Zhang Kangting: Carry forward Chinese culture and sow educational ideals

Zhang Kangting, a master's student in Chinese Language and International Education at the w88 casino of Chinese Language and Literature. In 2021, he was awarded the honor of "Excellent Chinese Teacher Volunteer" by the Confucius Institute at University College Dublin in 2021. In August 2020, after leaving the Confucius Institute at University College Dublin in Ireland and returning to China, as a fresh graduate, in order to realize his educational ideals, he actively participated in educational internships. Zhang Kangting showed great enthusiasm when talking about this experience. She mentioned that in European and American countries, many people still have a very limited understanding of China, and are affected by historical prejudices and serious stereotypes. Our external communication career still has a long way to go. As a younger generation of international Chinese teachers, what she has to do is not only teach the Chinese language, but more importantly, let the world hear the voices of young Chinese and see what China is like now.

She still remembers the words of her teacher when she was working abroad: "After you go out, you are likely to be the first Chinese person they come into contact with, and they will see the shadow of China in you." Therefore, Zhang Kangting often designs a lot of cultural interaction content in the classroom, leading students to experience Tai Chi, making Chinese knots and paper-cutting, so that Chinese culture can be spread among young students in foreign countries using the Chinese language as a carrier. She will also talk to them about the appearance of China in the new era, tell her students about the new development of China's high-speed rail, discuss China's epidemic prevention and control with students from University College Dublin, and even make local students fall in love with China's popular rap and milk tea. Chinese has become a window for cultural exchanges. Through Chinese education, she hopes to plant a seed in the hearts of students from foreign countries, making them more willing to understand China and come to China.

While teaching overseas, Zhang Kangting also realized that my country’s Chinese language education is developing in a positive direction.
