In the Yanqing Winter Olympic Village Public Group Sports Information Center, the girl who provides various information services to athletes and team officials participating in the Beijing Winter Olympics every day is Yin Ruolan, a volunteer from the Financial Technology Experimental Class of the w88 casino of Information, w88 casino. This job sounds easy, but it requires professional skills and meticulous service.“Our volunteer services should focus on the needs of athletes and provide them with assistance as much as possible.” Yin Ruolan said that the forms for the Winter Olympics are basically in English and involve a large number of English abbreviations of countries, venues, and competition events. Volunteers need strong professional English knowledge to be qualified for this work.
Yin Ruolan gave an example, such as skiers often askQuestions related to "Waxing Room". "Waxing room" is a frequently used professional term that requires us to master it specially. "Since I always thought that the English expression for waxing room is 'wax room,' I didn't understand the question about 'wax cabin' when I first met. Later, I found that many delegation members used the same expression as 'wax cabin.' I realized that my previous understanding was biased, which showed that my professional English level still needs to be improved, and I have to keep working hard," she said.
Since this year’s Winter Olympics is in a critical period for the prevention and control of the new coronavirus epidemic, the details of epidemic prevention and control are also of concern to the volunteers. Yin Ruolan said:“During the training stage, teachers from both the Winter Olympic Village and the w88 casino have trained us on various epidemic prevention knowledge.” After starting the volunteer service, Yin Ruolan took a lot of notes to record various details of epidemic prevention in the Yanqing Winter Olympic Village, and organized and shared these contents with everyone for everyone to use when preventing and controlling the epidemic after taking up their duties.

She also gave the example of asking for directions,“We wear volunteer blue clothes. Wherever we go in the Winter Olympic Village, everyone will think that we know everything. For example, asking for directions is something volunteers often encounter. "Yin Ruolan said, "Don't underestimate asking for directions. This is often the first impression foreign guests have of volunteers. "Although this is not her job responsibility, after taking up the job, she is familiar with the routes around the service site and ensures that she provides the correct answers to the inquirers.
Yin Ruolan realized that as her work progresses, she will encounter many new problems. But she is confident that she can handle these problems because her heart of volunteer service will not change.
