PhD life only lasts four short years. If you want to produce results in a short time every day, efficiency is the primary productivity. The first step to improve efficiency is to find the direction you are interested in, determine the topic you want to research, and then delve deeper into this direction, master the research trends in this direction, and read and think about the theories, models, and methods of relevant literature.
