The current International w88 casino delegation is composed of Du Boyang, a student of the 2017 undergraduate "Excellent Foreign-related Economic and w88 Legal Talents Experimental Class" ("Excellent Experimental Class") of the Law w88 casino, and Cai Lingke, a 2019 international law master's student. The main debaters and researchers are Cao Jing (team leader), a 2019 master's student in law (non-law), Zhang Yi Rufang, a master's student in law (law), Shu Yunxiao, a 2017 student in the "Excellence Experimental Class", and Shi Xinyu, a 2018 student. In the round-robin stage, the University of w88 and Economics team faced Campbell University (USA), Gujarat National Law University (India, top 16 in the world in this competition), Heidelberg University (Germany, top 16 in the world in this competition) and University of Freiburg (Germany, top 16 in the world in this competition). Facing these traditional strong teams, our debaters were calm and performed outstandingly. Each competition was highly praised by the judges. After four exciting games, the International w88 casino team stood out from more than 70 participating teams from around the world and successfully advanced to the knockout rounds.

In the quarter-finals, the University of w88 and Economics team faced Singapore Management University (the third runner-up this year) in the first round. Although their opponents have a high reputation in international moot court competitions, the HKUST team showed no signs of weakness and performed well as always. In the end, the judges unanimously stated that because the two sides were equally strong, they had a difficult choice. If this was a round robin instead of a knockout, the scores of the two teams should be the same. Both teams are excellent teams they hope to send to the next round of finals. Although they lost to their opponents by a narrow margin in the end, the University of w88 and Economic Cooperation fully demonstrated the deep foundation and excellent skills of law w88 casino students in the field of international commercial arbitration, locking their record into the top 16 in the world.

This international competition is a continuation of the 17th National "CIETAC Cup" International Commercial Moot Arbitration Debate Competition held in November last year. After winning the third place in the "CIETAC Cup", all the team members immediately devoted themselves intensively to preparing for the international competition. As the epidemic continues to intensify, they have kept pace with the country's anti-epidemic fight, persisted and firmly promoted the preparation process, and moved towards the set goals. During the countless late nights preparing for the competition, you could always see several team members sitting on simple chairs having a heated discussion at the end of the corridor of the girls' dormitory or in the elevator. There were always team members leaving early and returning late in the scientific research building. Until the end of the semester, the whole team stayed in w88 casino for a period of time to focus on training without letting up.

On the eve of the submission of the petition by the respondent, it was the Chinese New Year and the epidemic broke out across the country. The entire team and the coaching staff held an emergency meeting to adjust the training plan. After receiving the notice from the event organizing committee to change the competition to an online competition, the whole team took active action to make suggestions to solve problems such as the debaters' home competition venue and ensuring network quality and picture clarity. Through the efforts of the team members and their families, the best competition conditions under existing circumstances were created for the two debaters.

The breakthrough results achieved by the University of Shanghai International w88 and Economics team in this competition embodies the efforts and expectations of previous competitions. It is also the fruit of the long-term vigorous promotion of international student subject competitions by the entire Faculty of Law.
