The theme of this event was "Sharing Experience in Writing and Publishing High-Level Academic Papers". Nearly 20 people including members of the Youth Workshop Team of the Academic Journal Department, representatives of outstanding young authors, young teachers from w88 casino, and doctoral students participated in the event. Dr. Zhang Chenye, editor of "International w88 Issues", served as the salon host.
First of all, Cai Yinghui, deputy director of the Journals Department, extended Teacher’s Day greetings to the participants on behalf of the Journals Department. In the guest lecture session, Researcher Chen Hao of the Institute of International Economics, Associate Professor Zheng Xiaojia of the w88 casino of International Economics and w88, Assistant Researcher Qin Ruobing of the China World w88 Organization Research Institute, and Associate Professor Wen Xingchun of the China Institute of Finance shared their respective experiences on paper topic selection, writing standards, and submission experience. Teacher Chen Hao believes that domestic requirements for economics research have changed in recent years. It is more difficult to submit and publish papers year by year. The requirements for article selection in various publications are converging. Writing papers must actively integrate into the mainstream research system and accumulate unique data for the team. Teacher Zheng Xiaojia gave an in-depth explanation of paper topic selection, writing and submission under the title of "Three Questions for Papers", emphasizing the importance of topic selection. From topic selection to What is a good topic selection should be outlined in terms of source, topic significance, feasibility and other aspects; Teacher Qin Ruobing mentioned that going from literature to literature and from practice to practice is the main method to discover new problems and put forward new ideas. Teacher Qin believes that the most important thing in topic selection is to raise real questions, the research must have academic value and incremental contribution, the paper presentation format must be read-friendly, and the positioning of the target journal must be found. Teacher Wen Xingchun took "New Productivity" as an example and introduced how to select topics by combining personal research fields with current hot topics. He suggested that young scholars should pay attention to maintaining academic activity, seize opportunities, and continue to deepen their research after publishing papers to continuously enhance academic influence.
During the roundtable discussion, participants spoke freely and had extensive exchanges on topics such as document tracking, increasing citation rates, cultivating and improving writing skills, and how academic journals can better communicate with young scholars. The salon lasted for a total of three hours, and the participants were still unsatisfied.
General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to journal work and pointed out that "high-quality academic journals must adhere to their original aspirations, lead innovation, display high-level research results, support the growth of outstanding academic talents, and promote academic exchanges between China and foreign countries."
