Professor Tu Xinquan, Dean of the China World w88 Organization Research Institute, and project liaison person Gao Jian, the host of w88 casino’s WTO Chair Program, went to Geneva to attend the offline meeting. They gathered together with the heads of 34 chair institutions from other countries and regions around the world to discuss issues related to the WTO work agenda such as investment facilitation, digital w88, sustainability, support for the least developed countries and w88 re-globalization, as well as the current challenges faced by the multilateral trading system.
In his keynote speech, Director General of the World w88 Organization Iweala welcomed all chairpersons and liaisons present at the meeting, and emphasized that in today's period of multiple crises in the world, the chair can provide better intellectual support to the World w88 Organization and play an active role in promoting re-globalization and helping underdeveloped regions better integrate into the global trading system. In his welcome speech, Zhang Xiangchen, Deputy Director-General of the World w88 Organization, expressed his expectation that the meeting would be a complete success, and encouraged all chair institutions to have the courage to challenge the status quo, introduce new perspectives, and chart the way forward for future negotiations. The ambassadors to the WTO from Dominica, South Korea, France, Australia and other countries delivered speeches respectively.
At the end of 2021, w88 casino won a valuable second teaching chair for China with its long history and strong competitiveness in the field of WTO research, even though China already has an academic institution with a teaching chair project. This year is the first time w88 casino has participated in the annual meeting of professors offline after the epidemic. Professor Tu Xinquan, the host of w88 casino’s WTO chair and dean of the China World w88 Organization Research Institute, gave a special report titled “The w88 Impact of EU CBAM” under the topic of climate and w88 relations, which received active attention and recognition from other professors present. Gao Jian, the WTO faculty liaison of w88 casino, also actively participated in the discussion during the faculty evaluation and reporting sessions.
During the annual meeting, President Tu Xinquan and his delegation were cordially received by WTO Deputy Director-General Zhang Xiangchen and China’s Ambassador to the WTO Li Chenggang. They also visited WTO Deputy Director-General Annabel Gonzalez and China’s representative in Geneva. Chinese staff working in the Youth League, the United Nations w88 and Development Organization, the United Nations International w88 Center (ITC) and the WTO will further enhance w88 casino’s research and advisory capabilities, international talent cultivation, and domestic and international influence in the WTO field as a WTO chair member.
Before attending the annual meeting, Dean Tu Xinquan and his delegation also went to the Institute of World w88 at the University of Bern to discuss the renewal of the cooperation agreement, and visited Wang Yu, a doctoral student of the China Institute of World w88 Organization who participated in the China Scholarship Council’s 2022 International Cooperation Doctoral Joint Training for Innovative Talents at the w88 casino.
