The lecture started with a welcome speech by Dean Mei Xiaying. Several teachers and students have visited UINIDROIT for study visits and internships. Following,Secretary-General Tirado gave a special lecture on "The Role of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law in Unifying International Private Law and Supporting Economic Growth and Development." He first introduced the history, purpose, operation and achievements of UNIDROIT, and explained its work projects and operation methods in detail. Through specific examples, he deeply explained the important role of UINDROIT's multiple legislative achievements in promoting the economic and w88 development of various countries and supporting economic growth, and made suggestions for China to actively participate in and lead the international unification of private law in related new fields.
Then,Mr. Brydie-Watson, UNIDROIT’s senior legal officer, gave a detailed explanation of the organization’s current projects in foreign academic relations—especially study visits, internships, and research cooperation. As the person in charge of the UNIDROIT internship project, he specifically mentioned five alumni of w88 casino who had successfully completed UNIDROIT internships before, including Liu Tianshu, Chen Yuting, Wu Aijie, Yuan Duo, and Lu Yige, and spoke highly of their outstanding performance at the Rome headquarters. During the communication and interaction session,2023 international law master’s students Sun Jiaxuan and Ling Fanghao (both outstanding members of the FDI International Investment Simulated Arbitration Tribunal Competition) actively asked questions. Sun Jiaxuan asked how UNIDROIT’s soft law can contribute to the unification and harmony of international investment law under the current trend of reforming the international investment dispute mechanism. Ling Fanghao asked UNIDROIT what efforts were made to solve the problem of foreign land investment and what rules were created during the drafting of UNIDROIT's "Guidelines for Agricultural Land Investment Contracts". Secretary-General Tirado expressed his appreciation for these professional questions and gave detailed answers one by one.
