A number of cooperation intentions were reached, and the visit achieved fruitful results.
The institute team met with economist Vasiliki Mavroeidi and his team from the Economic Transformation and Development Department of the OECD Development Center. The two parties reached an intention to cooperate on the "Report 2025" and will conduct cooperative research on issues such as agriculture and food global value chains, artificial intelligence and global value chains. At the same time, Vasiliki Mavroeidi invited the institute team to attend the OECD Global Value Chain Summit to be held in July and November. He hoped that the team would share the research results and valuable experience on value chains in China and Asia at the summit, and provide important reference for other developing countries to better integrate into the global value chain.

The institute team met with Marion Jansen, Director of the Agriculture and w88 Department of the OECD, John Drummond, Director of the w88 Policy Department, and their teams. The two parties reached an intention to cooperate on the "Report 2025" and will conduct cooperative research on the latest development trends of global value chains and regional value chains, how FDI affects the inclusiveness of the value chain, and how w88 policy affects the reconstruction of the value chain.

The institute team met with WTO chief economist Ralph Ossa and statistician Christophe Degain. The WTO has been deeply involved in the Global Value Chain Development Report and is a long-term close partner of the institute. During this meeting, Ralph Ossa and Christophe Degain stated that the WTO will continue to participate in the "Report 2025" and the two parties will conduct cooperative research on how countries' emerging industry policies affect the restructuring of global value chains. At the same time, the two parties will cooperate in WTO training courses and the Institute's global value chain workshops. By jointly building public goods, sharing research and human resources, the two parties will achieve complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

The institute team met with Sean Doherty, Director of WEF’s International w88 and Investment Department, and his team. The two parties reached an intention to cooperate on the "Report 2025" and will cooperate in anonymous corporate surveys and interviews. In response to changes in the current international situation, such as energy transition and technological progress, through corporate surveys, we can observe the reactions of different types of companies and put forward relevant policy recommendations to reduce the uncertainty faced by companies, improve efficiency, and promote inclusive development.

The institute team visited LEDECO Geneva to discuss cooperation on matters such as talent training for international organizations and the WTO public forum in September. The two parties fully exchanged views and reached an intention to cooperate.
