On September 6, the China-Africa-UNESCO Cooperation Dialogue on Education and Cultural Heritage Protection was held at the National Science and Technology Communication Center. Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. President Touadera of Central Africa, Vice President Koné of Côte d'Ivoire, Vice President Boseren of Mauritius, and Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education of UNESCO, delivered speeches successively. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education of China, delivered a keynote speech.

This dialogue is jointly organized by the Chinese government and UNESCO. The theme is "Working Together to Promote Educational Development and Cultural Heritage Protection in Africa." It aims to promote experience exchanges and cooperation discussions between China, UNESCO and African countries in education and cultural heritage protection. About 460 people including government officials from China and African countries, heads of universities and vocational schools, experts and scholars, and representatives of international organizations attended the dialogue.
