Dietary fiber is essential for maintaining human health, but the knowledge contained in it still needs to be studied in depth. According to Liao Yan, dietary fiber includes insoluble fiber and soluble fiber. Insoluble fiber, such as wheat, rye, rice and vegetables, can promote gastrointestinal motility and improve intestinal function. Soluble fiber can delay gastric emptying time, slow down glucose absorption, and lower blood cholesterol. Citrus, oat products and legumes may be given priority.

In addition, Liao Yan also recommended that college students eat milk, soybeans or their products every day. Taking calcium tablets after meals can help calcium absorption, while too much dietary fiber, a large amount of strong tea, coffee or carbonated drinks can inhibit calcium absorption. Accumulate more calcium in the body and reduce the harmful effects of excessive calcium loss in old age.
