But this is only a preliminary result, and the negotiation is only a preliminary result. Within 90 days, we will have to negotiate again on the 24% of the suspension. Whether it will be completely cancelled, or other negotiation conditions will be attached. If the negotiation cannot be reached, whether it will be added back, these are all variables.

In addition, we still have to fully appreciate Trump’s so-called art of deal. He may also add extraneous matters and add other conditions, but in terms of tariffs, reaching such a truly final and stable deal cannot be completed in one go. The actual tariff level imposed by the United States on the world has exceeded 30%. This should be said to be a serious impact on the multilateral trading system. Whether the system that has been running for 70 years needs to change its course is a big test. The depth of industrial chain cooperation between the two sides is constantly strengthening. As RCEP comes into effect, RCEP is also upgrading negotiations and so on. Therefore, how to make good use of the institutional dividends of RCEP in this regard is important for both parties. Both China and ASEAN have a deeper consensus and have taken good actions. Especially after the tariff war, the transfer of industries can be said to be faster, but there is a lot to be done here to ensure orderliness. The regulations for the country of origin are that the value-added rate must exceed 40%, which can be accumulated, which is a very favorable condition.

Of course, through a production base like ASEAN, you can still respond to the whole world and promote sustained and stable economic development. It should be said that ASEAN still plays a stabilizing role in our response to the US tariff war. Especially for China at the moment, it should be said that it is a recent market cooperation. In addition, many ASEAN countries, including Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, now have some good economic development models and organizational methods. Including industrial parks, including some free w88 zones, we also have an industrial park that is a cooperation between China and the local area.
