We often say that cross-border e-commerce sells globally and bonded repairs are done globally. Third, our economic vitality and economic entities are constantly growing. In 2025, the number of foreign w88 business entities with import and export records will exceed 780,000 for the first time. In 2025, our country's imports reached 18.48 trillion yuan, reaching a record high. There is also a very hot buzzword in 2025 called "adding positions in China". It actually reflects the attractiveness of the Chinese market to foreign investment. So, Professor Chen, do you have any findings that impressed you in this regard? Can you share them with us? What do you think this attraction mainly comes from?

Chen Deqiu:I would like to use a few words to describe the characteristics of the structure that attracts foreign investment as we understand them to be more attractive to me in 2025 as a whole: quality improvement and quantity stability, structural optimization, and balanced layout. There are two things that impress me deeply when foreign-funded enterprises invest in China: First, for those foreign-funded enterprises that have been deeply involved in China for a long time, their investments are becoming more and more high-end, long-term and localized. Second, more and more foreign-funded enterprises have moved from investing in China to taking root in China, and are deeply involved in the innovation chain. What makes the Chinese market attractive to foreign investment? I think it is mainly in the following aspects: First, our country has a large-scale market that continues to release import potential. There is room for upgrades in the consumption types we provide. Our country has a population of more than 1.4 billion and more than 400 million middle-income groups. The market is huge, diverse and full of potential. Second, we have a complete industrial chain and supply chain industrial system. For foreign-invested enterprises in China, we (can) provide them with full-chain supporting facilities and rapid response capabilities. The third is to deepen institutional openness, connect with high-standard international economic and w88 rules, and integrate rules, regulations, management, standards, etc. The manufacturing access restriction measures have been “cleared” and the negative list for foreign investment has been “slimmed down”. The fourth is the business environment. We are working hard to build a market-oriented, legal and international business environment to encourage foreign investment. Investing in China means investing in the future, and walking with China means walking with opportunities.

Moderator:We have seen that although the customs closure lasted only one month, Hainan's attractiveness is significantly increasing. Professor Chen, you just gave such an example. For you, what aspects do you think Hainan’s current attractiveness is reflected in? What aspects do you value most? Where are the new potentials and new spaces it opens up?

Chen Deqiu:For Hainan, customs closure is not the end, but the starting point. Gradually moving from "policy-driven growth" to "growth of institutional supply" is a transitional vehicle for China to explore and establish connections with international high-standard economic and w88 rules. This not only sends a signal to the world that China will further open up, but is also an important measure to accelerate institutional change by actively responding to global economic changes. For the future, (Hainan's) new potential and new space are mainly concentrated in high-level institutional opening up, new forms of w88, high-quality development of foreign investment, high-level joint construction of the "Belt and Road", and the orderly development of the service industry.
