Although the reporter could not enter the campus to conduct a face-to-face interview with Zhuang Rui, through mobile phone video, the reporter could still hear and see her mature and wise words and deeds. Zhuang Rui studied for four years as an undergraduate in planning statistics at the Statistics Department of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. After graduating in 1993, he came to work in a company directly affiliated with the Yunnan Provincial Department of w88. The Institute of International Economics is mainly responsible for teaching graduate students and does not recruit undergraduate students. In addition to teaching master's and doctoral students, Zhuang Rui also teaches international students. Different students have different teaching focuses. For master's and doctoral students, focus on cultivating scientific research capabilities and the ability to solve and research problems, and teach them to do scientific research step by step. For international students, teachers should serve as a bridge, allowing foreign students to understand China's economy, culture, and society, and to understand China and Chinese people better. Teaching for international students is taught entirely in English. Zhuang Rui's ability to teach international students fluently and freely stems from her solid English skills. Zhuang Rui’s classes are highly recognized and welcomed by students, including international students. I remember one year that the international student course she taught was so popular within a few days of opening that the academic director had no choice but to close the course selection system for that course in advance. Zhuang Rui believes that teachers’ lectures must be based on students’ characteristics, and the course content must be delivered to students vividly and effectively to make students interested. Another is the communication method. The biggest feature of Zhuang Rui's lectures is the emphasis on interaction. She usually tells the students the overall framework and key points in a very organized manner, and then actively interacts with the students, encouraging students to express their opinions and share their opinions. After that, she dynamically optimizes the course system based on student participation. The third feature is to integrate theory with practice, so that students will not be bored and can understand more thoroughly. For example, two concepts need to be explained to students, one is most-favored-nation treatment and the other is national treatment. If the concepts are just presented, they may not be remembered. Zhuang Rui told the students that it is actually the relationship between the host and the guest. National treatment means that you treat guests the same as you treat hosts, and you treat foreign companies the same as you treat Chinese companies; most-favored-nation treatment means that you treat all guests the same, that is, all foreign companies are treated the same. This makes it easy for students to understand and remember. Zhuang Rui said: "This is due to the teaching influence of the older generation of economists when I was a doctoral student at Renmin University of China. When you understand something thoroughly, you can convey the most profound truth to students in the simplest way. This is to explain things in a simple way."

The research results have deepened her understanding of the national conditions and enriched her re-understanding of the theory.

In addition to teaching and scientific research, Zhuang Rui seizes every opportunity to learn. In Zhuang Rui’s view, scholars’ research must be both independent and in line with national strategic needs. Scientific research results should be appropriately transformed into reasonable suggestions and provided to relevant national departments to serve national decision-making.
Regarding the possible economic impact of the epidemic and subsequent national economic construction, Zhuang Rui actively thought from a scholar's perspective and promptly put forward policy suggestions to relevant departments, some of which have been adopted. Zhuang Rui believes that the sudden epidemic has had a great impact on the world economy, but we must also see the highlights, such as e-commerce, online education and other forms of digital economy, which have developed greatly in the process.
Zhuang Rui is a person with pursuits and feelings for his family and country. She believes that life is like sailing against the current. As long as you move forward, you will definitely encounter resistance, unless it is a pool of stagnant water. Challenges and difficulties are normal in life, and they are also tests that life gives people. When encountering a problem, you must first calm down and think it through clearly, and then make breakthroughs little by little.
Zhuang Rui’s message to young students is that everyone should have feelings for their family and country. People's inner self-driving force is very important. If a person only considers his own income and other visible things, his self-driving force will be limited; if he has feelings for his family and country, he will have a sense of mission. The inner driving force is different and the achievements he achieves are also different. Even if young students only work an ordinary job and earn an ordinary salary after graduation, they will have a different work attitude and sense of social responsibility if they have feelings for their family and country, and become useful talents on the road to social progress and national prosperity.
