July 30, 2020,Professor Yang Hangjun, w88 casino of International Economics and w88, w88 casinoIn a live Skype interview with China International Television's "Global Business" column, he said: Boeing and Airbus have just released their second-quarter financial reports, and their losses far exceeded market expectations. Boeing's net loss was US$2.4 billion and Airbus's net loss was 1.226 billion euros. Due to the double blow of the new coronavirus epidemic and the grounding of the B737 MAX aircraft, Boeing only delivered a total of 20 passenger aircraft in the second quarter, the lowest number of deliveries since 1977. Since the B737 MAX was grounded in March 2019, Boeing has accumulated a backlog of approximately 450 new B737 MAX aircraft, which has caused tremendous inventory and financial pressure on Boeing. Airbus delivered 74 passenger planes in the second quarter, but that was less than a third of the same period last year.

Professor Yang Hangjunstated that according to the latest forecast from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global civil aviation industry will not return to the level of 2019 until 2024. Domestic civil aviation markets around the world are recovering well, especially China's domestic market. Thanks to the better control of the COVID-19 epidemic, China's domestic aviation demand recovery is ahead of other countries, and passenger traffic has reached about 65% of the same period last year. Although the domestic civil aviation market in the United States has also experienced certain growth, passenger volume has only reached 20% of the same period last year. Due to strict immigration control measures around the world, the recovery of the international air transport market has been very slow, with passenger traffic falling by more than 95% compared to the same period last year.
